The daphne inn is a fabulous B&B - it has an amazing location, modern and simple decor, spotlessly clean, a delicious breakfast and ridiculously helpful and friendly staff. The receptionist noticed that it was my birthday from my passport and left a bottle of wine in the room which needless to say was such a lovely touch. It's the kind of place where they go that little bit further to make your stay in Rome even better. If you're looking for luxury five star accomodation, this probabaly isn't for you as the rooms are a little on the small side, but I certainly intend to stay there on all my return visits to Rome (of which I hope there will be many), and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great place. Just as advertised. Excellent location. Helpful staff. Yes, the stairs are a pain upon arrival but they tell you in advance. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

We chose the Daphne after researching some travel websites and considering the location where we wanted to stay while in Rome. I then corresponded with the staff at Daphne Inn regarding rates and general services, and it seemed they were attentive to my inquiries. Certainly the pictures on their website looked attractive and their own description of the property was intriguing. Although I did believe their rate to be relatively high, I needed to make a decision so I took the leap of faith by reserving the room.

Bad move. Look, I'm not out to bash a business but when what is delivered is not what is offered, I have a problem with that. So, basically the place a few steps removed from "dump" status. There's no elevator, so have fun dragging your own stuff up and down a steep and narrow staircase. Essentially, there's no staff except for one person who trades shifts in an office and a cleaning woman. Our room was so small the bed barely fit in it - although in fairness, it was a comfortable bed. The bathroom offered the most basic necessities but the hot water was intermittent and the blow dryer was something from 1969. I could have run down the street shaking my head and dried my hair faster.

Yes, they put out some food in a makeshift kitchen and the person on staff was willing to make some suggestions, but at 280 Euros per night I can (and did) find a MUCH nicer place to stay. Don't fall for the marketing package and phony reviews. Keep looking...Hotel Stendhal around the corner was worlds better for slightly less money. Good luck and have fun in Rome!

Daphne Inn Trevi was luxurious while still being affordable. The breakfast and cappuccino each morning was delicious and super convenient. The staff was friendly and approachable. They were patient with us and all our questions about the city. The room was a little small, however, the fact that it was clean and modern more than made up for the size. To top it all off, you just can't beat the location which is right near the Trevi Fountain - the heart Rome. We will definitely be back to Daphne Trevi or its other location for our next trip to Rome!

the hotel was the highlight of our 4 week trip. me and my boyfriend had been travelling for 3 weeks, staying mostly in hostels, this hotel was our treat of the trip so we had high hopes.... and we were not disappointed. the hotel is a touch tricky to find because there is no sign outside of it, you literally buzz on the flat door. just head for the right address and buzz on daphne reception. the building is a beautiful old italian building. the lady on reception was amazing she sat with us for half an hour planning out a route for us on a map so we could see as much as possible in two days. she also gave us a phone to use on our trip, this was great cos it meant our family at home could ring and catch up. the room was imaculate and beautiful furnished, the only down side was it was a touch small. there was a communal area for us and one other room with a laptop, which again was so useful. the breakfast was amazing and had so much choice. overall a stunning hotel i would thoroughly recommend.!
