The Daphne Inn is really a cross between an apartment hotel and a B+B. The rooms are located in an apartment block in a street close to Barberini metro station/ Piazza Barberini. it is therefore very central, and close to the Trevi fountain and main sights.
the pre-arrival service was very helpful and informative, on arrival we were given a map and suggested walking tours/ itineraries.
Our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The tea and coffee tray was well stocked. Our room also came with a shared sitting room (with computer and internet), and also a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom thing was not a problem as the room was supplied with bathrobes, and it is only a few steps from the bedroom. We didn't see other guests in our apartment area for the 3 days we were there.
Breakfast was a good continental selection of cereals, pastries, ham cheese etc.
Reception staff were kind enough to arrange a walking tour with Icon tours for us, make dinner reservations, and nothing seemed too much trouble.
All this for 80 Euros per night was excellent value. Would not hesitate to recommend as a place to stay in central Rome.
P.S. fabulous restaurant in Trastevere 'le Mani in Pasta' - family run and typical home-style italian food.
