My husband spent 4 nights in Rome recently. We stayed at the Daphne Inn Trevi, which I chose largely based on the wonderful reviews I read on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The location was perfect. We walked or took the bus or metro without any difficulty. The Inn met and exceeded our expectations. The staff is so helpful and kind. We enjoyed a very informative and fun orientation walk through Rome with Ryan, which was one of the highlights of our stay in Rome. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, including fresh fruit, rolls, cereal, etc., even cappuccino to order. Don't let the steps scare you, they were not bad at all. I would not hesitate to recommend the Daphne Inn to fellow travelers and would go back in a heartbeat.

My husband, 22 month old son and I stayed there for 4 nights in JUly 2008 and loved it.

The room is clean, modern, and lovely. The bathroom and shower are great... spacious compared to other places. Individually controlled air conditioning that was great. Quiet. Fridge in the room. Computer with internet access easily accesible.

Good breakfast. Fresh fruit, cheese, meat, rolls, yogurt and made to order coffee drink. The housekeeper was really nice.

The office staff were helpful and very friendly. They had great insider tips and helped us find the most attractive ways to get to places.

Metro stop almost right outside which was easy and fast for getting to the Vatican City. Most other sites within a reasonable walking distance with much of it on Pedestrian streets.

We were on the 3rd floor--which means 4th floor in the states. The stairs were a bit of pain but we did it with a toddler and a stroller with no problem.

Great location. Clean. Good food. Great service. No hesitation recommending this place. Well worth the money.

This is the B&B for you if you are looking for a friendly, helpful staff while staying in clean and nicely furnished rooms in a great location - it will be everything you need right down to the free internet access and loan of a local cell phone. We just spent 5 nights at the Daphne Inn-Trevi and cannot say enough about how wonderful a place it is. We stayed in both a double room with a bathroom and the junior suite and found them both to be nice rooms - very clean, modern, and nice decor. If you can afford the Junior suite do it, you have so much space with the sitting area and desk, the bedroom and the bathroom, and you have your own laptop (v a shared laptop with the other rooms). We used it to search train schedules, get info on beaches while we were there, check into our flight, and to keep in touch with our family. The breakfast was really good for a small European hotel - it had fresh breads, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereal, and fresh meats and cheeses along with someone always there to make a you the perfect latte or capuchino. The metro at Piazza Barberini is about a 3-4 minute walk away, and we walked almost everywhere, even to the Vatican one morning because of a transit strike. It is also nicely located just a pleasant walk away from Borghese park along Via Veneto - just perfect. But to top it all off, the staff are really the selling point. We had a large bike case to store and they were more than accomodating, along with giving us great advice on restaurants, helping to make and confirm reservations, and helpful with all our questions - better than any concierge at the many hotels we have stayed at. Really the only thing somewhat negative I can say is the sheets could have been softer, but really, that is it. Stay here, you won't regret it!

  • Liked — The welcoming and helpful staff and the clean and large rooms
  • Disliked — The sheets were a bit scratchy

We decided to visit Rome for our anniversary in 2007. We found a review in a travel magazine for the Daphne Inn and booked on-lie with them directly. It was fantastic....! The unassuming entrance off a busy Rome street did not prepare us for the modern room and fantastic service. The price was very reasonable for the location (10 minute walk to the Trevi fountain and shopping, sightseeing) and they even helped me by providing flowers and chocolates for my wife. I love the place and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Called last minute based on recommendation from Lonely planet. They had 1 junior suite left. The location was perfect, very close to Trevi Fountain. The room had bedroom, living room, bathroom with shower. All new features. including laptop in the room with free wireless. The bed was soo comfy. Shower was nice and big but didn't seem to drain very well. A bit of a noisy location as its in a condo with permanent residents...early in the morning we heard neighbours outside chatting for ages.

Breakfast was served in our room. Continental style nothing too special but just what we needed.

Staff were very helpful and friendly.
