Almost all the hotels have a "wonderful" location. It depends on what is wonderful for you. This hotel is around the corner from the Campo de Fiore market. By day it is a colorful fresh food market along with small vendors (leather gloves for 15 euro)! About 2:00 they break the whole thing down, have street cleaning trucks come in, and it is transformed to a beautiful square lined with restaurants and bars. Amazing!! About a five minute walk to Piazza Navona, another spectacular square with amazing fountains, restaurants, and artists. Five minutes the other way, over the bridge, is Trestavare, with dozens and dozens of restaurants, bars, etc. The area is populated with locals and all the cobblestone streets have interesting shops and boutiques. The staff speaks perfect English and are very helpful. The rooms are big by European standards, and the bathroom we had was all marble and HUGE! The included breakfast was generous, with scrambled eggs, meats, homemade pastries, croissants, coffee, etc. Don't miss it.

As regular travellers to Rome, staying in accommodation ranging from three to five stars, we were very impressed with the Ponte Sisto.
Whilst not five star, our room was large enough with windows that opened offering us a view of the gardens next door. The in-room facilities were good, there was plenty of storage space, the bathroom was a reasonable size and the shower, whilst being a little small, was adequate.
We found the staff to be professional and at the same time friendly.
The hotel's facilities were excellent with a large internal courtyard/garden, small comfortable lounge area and an excellent buffet breakfast, consisting of hot and cold food, was served each morning.
The location was perfect, we could either walk into the centre of Rome or catch the bus after a thirty second walk from the hotel's front door, there was a small supermarket a couple of doors away. The restaurants, across the footbridge, in the vibrant Trastevere area were great value.
There are only two things that would have made this hotel five stars in our eyes and they are:
the provision of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, after walking for four or five hours it is nice to go back to your room, make a coffee and relax
an in-room iron and ironing board for others like us who have travelled from Australia and have a suitcase full of crushed clothing after spending up to thirty hours getting from home to the hotel.
We will make the Ponte Sisto our hotel of choice in future.

This charming hotel is down a small side street well positioned near Campo di Fiori. We both had small but very nice single rooms, with great views and generous bathrooms. It's a shame it was too warm to use the very large terraces we had access to. The staff were efficient and the breakfasts, as mentioned here were very good.

Oh, if you get a chance do eat at Al Bric, a five minute walk from the hotel, it is excellent.

Very nice Hotel. If you enjoy walking, it's a great location. 10 to 25 minute walk to most of the famous sites and lots of great places to eat. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. However, we reserved three Doubles (three couples) and all three rooms were different. We had the largest room in #407 with a Courtyard view. 415 was much smaller than ours but had a small balcony. 501 was the smallest with a few steps to climb to get up to the bathroom. The staff doesn't smile much but they are very helpful. Our least favorite meal was one that the front desk recommended. Throw away the guide books when looking for a place to eat. Slowly walk by the restaurants and if they are crowded and everyone is speaking Italian, eat there! Breakfast at the Hotel was very enjoyable but again, not many smiles from the staff. We booked early and the three nights was a total of 780.00 EUR. We'll stay again and ask for room 407.

We loved the location of this hotel and while the staff were not warm or friendly, they were competent, effecient and effective - a bit more German than Italian. The rooms were good, roomy enough, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, coffee quite good and and we enjoyed the courtyard setting.
