The hotel is great, very beautiful decor, nice breakfast.
The location could be better, but it is within walking distance of everything!

Our 2 main problems were:
- as it was the end of september the cooling was off and the heating on, so it was very hot in the rooms, and it took them 2 nights to resolve this problem,
- and the fact that the rooms are very tiny.

The main photo for this hotel must be very old. Nothing in the hotel looked dated. Definitely look at the other photos submitted for accurate images.

This was our favorite hotel in Italy. We got a great deal online - paid half the asking price by pre-paying for the room (but still more than I would pay for the hotel in the US - Italy is just expensive). The room was finished in a contempary feel. Small room, but nice. We stayed in a double room on the 2nd foor (considered the 3rd floor in the US). Bathroom had contemporary and beautiful glass tile.

The breakfast was the best we had in Italy, American foods and European dishes served buffet style and included with the price of your room. Fresh fruit, eggs, canadian bacon, toast, rolls, danishes, cereals, fresh juice, milk, coffee.

The bed was firm - seems to be a commonality among all hotels in Italy.

You'll want to keep the windows shut at night due to street noise - I don't think you'll avoid this no matter where you stay in town. No screens on the windows, just shutters and mosquitos might be an issue, Italy seems to have a lot of them. I don't know that we had any mosquitos in Rome, but we did in all the other cities we visited.

Myself & 3 friends stayed at Hotel Fiume for 3 nights in September. this is a very clean, friendly hotel. The breakfast is very good. Location - we could walk to trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps. there is a taxi rank few hundred yards at top of street which we used to get to airport.

We enjoyed our stay at Fiume on the last night of our 10 day trip. We chose it because our other nights in Rome were on the otherside of the city center. It is a short walk to Babbo's, the #1 rated restaurant in Rome (which is unfortately closed on Mondays we found out upon arrival). It is a short walk to the Trimani wine bar too, yum!

The location is not that close to all the major sites, but we had already hit those. It is near the Aurelian Wall and the Villa Borghese Gardens.

The hotel's renovations appeared to be complete b/c we did not see any work being done. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was small (it's Italy), but very clean and modern. The shower was very small, but the water pressure was great. The rooftop terrace was cute, we brought our wine up there and enjoyed our evening.

The breakfast was just okay. The bacon looked raw, and the eggs tasted like they were all yolk. But the coffee machine worked great (long line most of the time), there was a nice selection of breads and salami, juices... it worked.

The staff was helpful. Upon check-in, we booked a taxi to the airport the next morning. It was a flat 50 euro and a mercedes sedan picked us up right on time! :)

I would definitely stay here again if I am in Rome. It was a great deal for a nice establishment.
