As so many people have stated, the location is fantastic.
You can easily walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc.
No Metro stops nearby, so buying the Roman Pass just for this, could be a waste of money, but the main public bus stops across the road.
Front desk were very helpful. I even returned to the room to find a nice chilled bottle of bubble on my birthday, which no-one had prompted them for.
Breakfast more than adequate, with good coffee and breads, as well as some hot items. Breakfast room also a nice setting.
Rooms clean and functional, if a little small. But in response to the moaners on here about showers - I'm 6'2" and not exactly slender and I managed fine in the showers. They're not the biggest, but you can cope.
My biggest issue was the strength of the external door lock on the room. On our first room I could open the locked door with a firm tap from the heel of my hand. They sent someone to fix it, but when we returned 6 hours later it was no better. In the end we had to change rooms. My advice is to give your rooms a good check once you've closed the door.
Also - collect your safe key upon check-in, to save you going downstairs for it later.
In summary, location and the room rate (try Hotels.com) sets it apart from some others in it's class or in the area. But what you make up for in location you lose in room space - but it's Rome and you can't see it from your hotel now, can you?!
