The situation of the hotel is great, almost every attraction is in walking distance. Nice roof terrace (One evening we bought a bottle of wine and had a nice aperitif on the roof terrace.)
The room was very tiny, but the view was nice (I was lucky being on the fifth floor looking in direction of the Trajan's column and the Foro Traiano, even got a glimpse of the monument of Victor Emanuel).
The staff is quite friendly (especially the one in the breakfast service), but not everyone seems to know the city and its public transport system well. The answer you got regularly was: "it's not so far, you can walk". Well to discover a city you must walk, but not only. And what use should it be to have bought a "roma pass" which includes all the public transport if you can't use any. You must find out yourself, and once you've done it everything gets quite easy. You still have to walk enough!
But what really made me angry and is the reason that you can't consider this hotel as a 4 star, is that they don't have wi-fi access in the rooms!!! I'm just back from a professional trip through Portugal where even in tiny 2 stars you can find it and for free. The "best" thing here is, that you can use your laptop only in the lobby but you must pay 3€ for the hour!!! Even one of the managers recognized this as poor robbery!
