Location:-
Arrived at hotel after 10 minute walk from Central Termini Train Station. Within 5 minutes walk West of Hotel you will find the Santa Maria Basillica which is close to numerous pubs (the Stepping Stone and Druids Rock)...Within 5 minutes walk to East you will find the busy street of Via Nazionale with shops, bars and restaurants...

Staff:-
One of concerns I had in booking this hotel were reviews of staff particularly front door staff. But they couldn't be faulted in the helpfulness and willingness to oblige requests, such as allowing me a late checkout on the day of my departure. Night Porter available to let me into hotel in the early hours and the staff were always asking for keys which greatly enhanced my feeling of secuirty.

Rooms:-
Small enough rooms albeit very clean. Roomcleaning staff very prompt each morning to over cleaning services and extra towels etc. Slight smell of smoke from previous occupants though opening window quickly got rid of smell. Both twin and double rooms seem same size just pulling beds apart changes room from one to other.

Facilities:-
Wireless available at a charge (€5 for duration of stay) but wireless only worked on lower floors 1 and 2. Taxi arrangable at front desk. Breekfast available too but I did NOT avail of service as too busy sleeping off night before.

Overall:-
For price I paid (booked via third party website) I am more than pleased with hotel. As far as I'm aware the last minute rate can be got for €45 each person per night, which considering the superb location and helpfulness of staff was a complete bargain over a combined valentines / 6 nations rugby weekend!!

We booked this hotel through otel.com. It was very well situated, you could walk to most of the major sites and it was close to both a metro station and the main train station.

The hotel was nice and quiet and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave maps and directions to help us to the tourist spots.

It was a bit of a shame that there was no drinks facilities in the room, or even a vending machine in the hotel. You couldn't get a hot drink apart from at breakfast, and we had to use the bathroom taps for drinking water.

Breakfast was nice. The cereal bowls were miniscule, but they had a good selection of cereals, breads, toasts, fruits and cakes which gave us a good start to the day.

The room was clean and comfy, with a safe in the wardrobe which was handy for valuables.

The only downside we had to the experience was the slightly dodgy lift, but there is a staircase to use as an alternative :o)

Would stay here again

  • Liked — Friendly staff and clean comfy room
  • Disliked — the scary lift!!

What a lovely group of people. From the moment we entered the door they were there to assist and help in anyway, from our computer needs to assisting in day to day activities. The rooms are small but very clean. This is not a new building by any means, but it is on a side street with an outdoor market during the day and it is Very Quiet at night which is a big plus for Rome. We walked to and from the train station. Can't say enough about the employee's, great place to stay and close to everything! Try the Irish Bar down the street, again great people! Had a great continental breakfast too!

It was my first time in Rome and it couldn't be any better!

EVERY ONE ate HOTEL CORONA was very, very friendly and made me and my mother felt like it was HOME!

They helped us with directions, they were supportive. And the best think, hehehe: I forgot my favorite sunglasses in a store, THEY WENT THERE AND MAILED IT TO MY HOUSE IN BRAZIL!!!

I'm really happy and thankful for being there.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!

Love from Brazil...

Managment of this hotel was extremely helpful, before my visit started in their e-mail communication. Upon my request they ordered tickets for the Opera, booked excursions, made taxi reservations.
The hotel is situated near the Piazza de la Republica, a metro station entrance. The street is very quiet. A restaurant and Irish pub are next door.
