The hotel benefits from an excellent location. Literally a 5 minute walk from the Termini Station, which gives you access to Metro Lines A & B. Small, friendly, atmospheric hotel. Helpful reception staff who speak good English. Rooms are compact, but well equiped and spotless. Continental breakfast includes fresh fruit, pastries and cold meats. Only negative aspect of this hotel is the bar closes around 9.30pm, but don't be apprehensive to visit the 'Snack Bar' accross the road, as we were made to feel welcome on our daily visit. There is also a selection of local restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Ask the reception staff for details.

I stayed here for 3 nights in April. Single rooms are always a bit on the poor cousin side, but this one was decorated in a tasteful way. The room was incredibly quiet - no plumbing noises, no footsteps, no traffic. I couldn't believe I was only 5 minutes walk from the station. The breakfast was excellent, and the front desk helpful. It was a good start to my holiday.

We stayed at the Andreotti for 5 nights - booked through Thomson City breaks.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a bit dark (heavy wall paper!) and the bathroom quite compact - one problem that kept re-occuring was the lack of hot water ... however, as it was August we were quite glad of a cold shower at times!

Unfortunately the area surrounding the hotel is not brilliant and there are only the odd one or two restaurants in the area that we found ... many are also closed in August so beware.

I plan to return to Rome this year but will not be staying here - mainly due to its location.

Hotel is nice and located near the Metro Station (line B). Although you will more than likely have some difficulty in communicating with the staff you will manage to get your point accross. Rooms are clean and nice but small (like everywhere). Bathrooms often with showers only. Rooms are equiped with a trouser press, steam iron (in the bathroom, very uncomfortable location), small frigde (with ridiculously expensive snacks and sodas so better stay away), etc - overall comfortable. I stayed there in May - it was already very hot and the air conditioning was not working so remember that when you are planning to stay there in the summer. You may want to leave the windows open but then you will have to disregard the loud italian conversations from the streets and local bars/restaurants and very noisy garbage trucks (around 5am). Breakfast can be described as continental with some extras such as boiled eggs, ham, cheese, salami and cakes.
The hotel was nice but I would look for something different the next time maybe in a more quiet and safe neighborhood.
