The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is about a 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro station and the same from the mainline train station. The area isn't the most fashionable area of Rome, but I felt perfectly safe there both day and night. There are some pleasant and reasonably priced restaurants and cafes nearby.
The breakfast is continental and the coffee and juices are from machines, but both taste fine. I would go and stay there again quite happily.

My son found this hotel on the premise he was funding three nights in Rome on an extremely tight budget. I promised not to complain and to just smile, no matter what we were greeted with!

Having made the mistake of saying 'yes' to looking at a street view on Google, I was presented with a row of builings opposite a Burger King. This seemed to pale into insignificance when not one, but six commercial waste bins were in the foreground of the picture!

OK, having said all of that, on arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The reception staff could not have been more helpful and were very upbeat. The climb up the stairs was Everest-esque but I am not the most fit of mothers. The room was simple but adequate. The mattresses were extremely basic but following 13 hours of trekking the sights, it didn't really matter.

Breakfast is served in the basement and is self-service - tea/coffee/juice/bread rolls and conserves/pastries.

If you're looking for a base to rest your bones and aren't fussy, then this is adequate. If your looking for anything else, you'll need to pay more but for a cheap, no frills few nights, this is your hotel.

I have stayed in worse hotels but it is a 2 star hotel and you get what you pay for. Stayed 3 nights and the only major complaints I have are that it is situated next to a night club that rocks till 4 AM and it has not Internet access. It is a little out of the way but within hiking distance to most attractions.

I booked for two nights and when I arrived they demanded full payment for both nights up front. I left the hotel the same evening about three hour later and after giving them the key they refused to refund anything to me. The place is a dump and they are crooks .
