I have stayed in worse hotels but it is a 2 star hotel and you get what you pay for. Stayed 3 nights and the only major complaints I have are that it is situated next to a night club that rocks till 4 AM and it has not Internet access. It is a little out of the way but within hiking distance to most attractions.

I booked for two nights and when I arrived they demanded full payment for both nights up front. I left the hotel the same evening about three hour later and after giving them the key they refused to refund anything to me. The place is a dump and they are crooks .

It was a bit of a culture shock to the system having not stayed in a 2* hotel (as rated thru' our travel agents) since our youth but we got what we paid for. The rooms were clean but basic and the same for washroom facilities. The ladies at reception all spoke english and were very nice. The breakfast was just rolls and cakes but some of the other residents brought their own food in! Yes there was a very noisy nightclub next door but we were so shattered at the end of each day's sightseeing that we just fell asleep thru' the noise anyway. The hotel is in a less salubrious part of Rome but within a 10 minute walk you are in the Testaccio district where there are lots of small taverna's etc most of which were heaving every night of the week. The hotel is to the south of Rome's centre but saying that it was only a 30 minute walk to the Colossuem etc. We walked roughly 10-14 miles each day but Rome is such an easy city to walk around.

  • Liked — Good hot shower & confortable bed
  • Disliked — The next door nightclub and the fact that none of the rooms were carpeted so every sound on the floor was magnified

Just got back from a long weekend in Rome staying at the Hotel Pyramid. Took us 4 hours to eventually find the hotel with not much help from the young girls on reception when we called them for directions (I no that we should have done more planning but didn't think it would be that hard to find!!!)Anyway we eventually got there in 1 piece to a friendly welcome from young ladies on reception there english was much better in person. We got to our room to find it was pretty basic but is what we were expecting so weren't too disappointed. If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful and a bit out of the way from Central Rome this Hotel is fine. We didn't really no what to expect with it being our first time Rome but just a little warning for you if you are not a heavy sleeper beware there walls are very thin and can get a little noisey which didn't bother us too much after a good 10 hours sight seeing, getting to sleep was not much of a problem. Breakfast was pretty basic bread rolls, croissants, coffee and juice but again it was ok we weren't expecting the full works! Our room was cleaned well with clean bed sheets each day and fresh towels (might be an idea to bring one of your own as they were quite thin) but we were happy with the service provided. In the evenings you will find a man on reception who I think was the owner but a very lovely man who was always happy to see you and gave us very helpful information. This hotel is not far from Metro stations so although it's not in the centre it's not a problem getting there and we enjoyed the little journeys there anyway. So all in all I probably wouldn't stay here again as there are so many hotels to try out but if you are going to stay here then if you go not expecting too much you will be happy.

  • Liked — Freindly Staff
  • Disliked — Finding it, but maybe that was just me and my pathetic map reading!

stayed here for 2 nights and thought it was a bit out in the sticks although close to a tube station, the hotel was clean but at night it was very noisy due to the water pipes knocking and creaking all night long ,also we had some very noisy italians staying in the next 2 rooms and they were also very loud till around 3am. managed to find a nice restaurant round the corner which was very nice and very cheap compared to the rest of romes very inflated prices,a meal for 2 with drinks and desert costs us less than 35 euros..overall we would not stay here again and would look to find a hotel a bit closer to the centre of town..also the breakfast consisted of a brown roll and coffee from a machine so not good.
