“Awesome location with normal rooms and okish service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

I have stayed in pyramid hotel in Jan 2014 and my experience was good as location of this hotel is awesome. So let me start with following points -

1.) Location :- As you already know location of this hotel is very good as you can find the direct trains from airport to Ostiense train station. From station take exit to Via Matteucci and take right and walk till the first signal and on the left you will see burger king just take left from there and you will find the hotel. Also from hotel Pyramide metro station is also 5 mins walk away.

2.) Service :- Staff was hotel was kind enough to help us every where we wanted, so i am quite happy with service. But lady who supports breakfast is like a dead body sitting with no expressions at all. I am not sure why she was sitting there but she was not doing anything.

3.) Suggestion :- There is nothing you can really do in rooms, but just try to get the good deal and try to contact hotel staff for best rate via mail.

Good value for money, relatively close to the subway station Pyramid, and the path from the hotel to the metro is safe, and can be traversed on foot. The room is simple, with a small bathroom, the internet is controlled and paid.

A basic hotel, clean and affordable. Not a long walk to sights, or if your lazy there is easy access to public transportation. There is a bar opposite the hotel, so ask for a room on the other side if possible.

We stayed here with my mother for a week and wasn't disappointed. Nice room (but with pretty strange shower) with air conditioning that controls from reception, but you can call them on the hotel phone and ask the temperature you want. If open windows-quite noisy via Ostiense is near, so I recommend close them and turn conditioning on. Nice gentle staff, would help you with any question, nice placement with easy bus connections to all sightseens, small store and gelateria just in the next doors. Pretty huge supermarket in 5-minute walk, and really great restaurant with lights burning in the dark-all you need to spend great nights in eternal city for a good price!

Not that bad as I thought before arriving at this hotel. It's clean and the rooms are big enough, the staff is friendly, cleaning lady does her best - 100 % ! Never complainted about her. If you leave your windows open, it can be very noisy (!!!) because there is a bar in this building, so you may hear the screams, loud laugh etc.. Breakfast is not bad ! The minus of the hotel is the shower combined with the toilet, really nasty, there is just a thin curtain between the shower and the pan ... But in general it's okay ! Worth it.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the pyramid hotel for our wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere that would allow us to see all of the major attractions without breaking the bank. Whilst the hotel may not be in the nicest part of the city the area was ok, with an ice cream parlour next door and a grocers and a Burger King within a few yards! The hotel room itself was ok, the bed and pillows were quite hard but good enough. The bathroom was very small and more of a wet room really but plenty of hot and cold water and nice and clean! Breakfast was basic - pastries, bread, juice and coffee. We walked everywhere (as we always do) The colloseum was about a 20 minute walk, the Trevi fountain perhaps 40 minutes and the Spanish steps 45/50 minutes. It can be very hot walking in the middle of the day but Pyramid metro is only 5 minutes up the road - the colloseum is only 3 stops away so you can be there in 10 minutes.
Don't be put off by some people's negative comments about this hotel - it is simple but good enough if you, like us are there to see Rome and not see the inside of your hotel room for a week!
Good hotel, excellent value, pretty decent location.

This hotel is perfectly located if you come to Rome for holidays and you want to sightsee and spend some time on the beach. It is few minutes walk to the metro station-Pyramide (only few stations to Coloseo) and also a station of train to Ostia (beach place). Few steps from hotel you have groceries, cafeteria's and bars. Hotel surroundings is quite ok, but inside hotel everything is nice. Room was clean, with a private bathroom inside. Standard breakfast with croissants, rolls, jam, honey and with friuts.

Room Tip: Do not take rooms with the view to street. There is a bar on the other side of the street. Could be...
