We booked our holiday about five months ago. After booking we came home and read trip advisor reviews. After reading some of
them we thought about changing hotels. We re glad we didn t.
We flew with Ryan air and on the flight they sell tickets for a transfer to the termi station in the centre of Rome. For a return
transfer it cost 14 euros each, and we done this.
When you arrive at Termi station buy a one euro ticket from one
of the newspaper stands. The metro has two lines A and B.
You need line B.Its about three stations away and is called
pyramide.Turn left out of the station and go round the corner.
The road for the hotel is about ten minutes down the main road
on the right hand side next to Burger king.
When we arrived at the hotel we were happy with it.The staff are
helpful and the room was a good size, clean and comfortable.
Its true the bathroom is a wetroom but we didn t find this a
problem. There is a fantastic cake shop near the hotel Turn
left out of hotel and right at the end of the road. Its about three
doors down and is called Andreotti. The freshly squeezed
orange juice and lattes are lovely and so are the mini cakes.
For the drinks i mentioned and about four of the mini cakes
it was only about five euros.Don t stay here and not go there.
The hotel give you a street map and it shows you all the attractions. They reccomend the buses but we found you could
get everywhere by metro.
At the station buy a four euro ticket and you can use this all day
on buses and metro. The colosseum is about three stops away
from pyramide.We reccomend a guided tour.Its 20 euros each
and they also guide you round the ruins opposite. Its also good
as you miss the ques.
St peters is a must see and you can get to that from metro
line A which you pick up from termi.I can t remember what
stop but it tells you what sights are at what stop on the metro
boards. We walked to the top of the dome at st peters. Its 300
spiral steps but the view is worth it.
Theres so much more we could say.Rome is great and as long
as you wear comfortable shoes you ll love exploring it.
The ABC Pyramide was a good hotel and if we were to go back
to Rome we would stay there again.

The Hotel overall wasnt too bad. I accept that us Australians are probably used to better quality hotels for 3 stars but that aside Ill start with the good points. The room was a decent size, plenty of room for three young girls and their luggage. The hotel staff were extremely nice, very friendly and helpful. Fantastic restaurant right around the corner (turn right out the door and right at the next street and three or so doors down) - we ate there almost every night! Bad points- major one was the BATHROOM. It was gross. Dirty, not cleaned while we were there, tiny, mouldy shower curtain. When you sat on the toilet your feet were literally on top of the shower drain. So when you showered EVERYTHING got wet. We were used to changing in the bathroom, being three single girls but we had to all get changed in the same room. The area was also extremely dodgy and we didnt really feel comfortable wondering around at night. There was some very suss men hanging around the club a couple of doors down called "sinister sounds.." enough said. Also very far out from the sights. When i go back to Rome i will definately spend more to stay in the center where its nicer!

Have just returned today from a long-weekend stay at this hotel.

As far as 3 star hotels go, this wasn't a great one. While the rooms were clean and well decorated, the air conditioning was poor (the requests to reception to turn it up fell on deaf ears) and 2 days running our used towels were taken and not replaced...requiring more visits to reception. We also had to leave a 20 euro deposit in order to have the tv remote controls, which was returned at the end of the stay.

Beware of the strange bathroom setup, a shower inbetween the toilet and basin, in a tiny little room, with no defined space of its own...everything gets wet!

As mentioned in other reviews, the breakfast is poor - consisting of either a bread roll or croissant and instant machine-made tea and coffee (why on earth would you go to Italy for Cappucino and end up drinking from an instant coffee machine...uurgh!). Eat elsewhere would be our advice...

Also, a word of warning about the location...it is a run down area and next door to the hotel is a 'Live Music Venue'. Each night music was played until 2am - loudly. So loudly in fact, that we believed it to be coming from the next room until further investigation revealed the source.

On a more positive note, the staff were all very friendly especially the gentleman who worked the night shift, and all spoke very good english.

The hotel was reasonably well placed for transport links and there is a good restuarant around the corner (turn right outside the hotel and right again), the decor is basic but the food is very good and cheap.....

Overall, we would describe our stay here as 'ok' but would only use it again as a last resort. We have stayed in better 3 star hotels that are more centrally located, but it was clean and safe and I guess you could probably do worse.

This hotel is basic: clean, close to the metro, and the people are friendly and helpful in English. Easy walking distance to many toursit places: Shelley's grave, St Pauls, and the catacombs. No internet connections in the hotel, but a friendly internet store is 2 doors away. I had a Great time!

I found the bathroom/shower functional and had no problems at all with it. The breakfasts are skimpy. I'd advise eating at a local bar.

I enjoyed it and would stay there again.

after reading the reviews on tripadvisor before booking i was comfortable with booking this hotel. The worst thing about the hotel were the 2 young girls on the reception during the day they new absolutely nothing about rome and were quiet rude and unhelpful.this seemed strange as there was nothing but praise for the staff in previous reviews on here.i think they must be about the older gentlemen on the door at night.he was extremely helpful.
the hotel itself is in a pretty seedy area .the area is quiet dirty .but we walked around at midnight back from bus station many times and had no problems. the room itself is ok the wet floor bathroom takes a bit of getting used to but the water pressure is good. the air conditioning can only be controlled(temp,on/off) from the reception and after a scorching day in rome to come back to a stinking hot room is not real good.they must turn it off the minute you walk out the door.
the location is quiet good .the metro is a 10 minute walk were you can get the metro or buses pretty much everywhere . there is another bus stop pretty much around the corner from hotel which will take you to vatican city in 10 mins .
there is a great salad restaurant around corner from hotel with a huge choice of different stuff. there is also a great gelato place ( turn left at burger king, walk down under the bridge and its on the left after the 1 st cafe you come to) which are made onsite daily.he was making gelato as we entered shop and wanted us to try nearly every flavour before we bought anything .it was really really nice fresh gelato
the breakfast........well we only made it to breakfast once in 4 days due to our desire to get out early and get some great photos without 1000 tourists in the way.imagine a photo in front of trevi fountain with no one else but myself and girlfriend in it !!! getting back to the breakfast we had it on our last day and it was horrible we didnt even bother to eat it. the bread rolls were stale and that was at 630am
so all in all you get what you pay for .
