It was like staying in a dorm room. There was a two twin beds and a bunk bed. The bathroom was really nice. There was a bar a few floors down if you looked out the balcony. Me and my sister spent the night making animals noises to with the drunk people all night. No towels, you have to bring your own.

If you are American, between the ages of 18 and 24 and want to get laid or drunk then this is the perfect place for you! The hostel was clean, but run like a boarding school with calls every morning to ask if the room was okay, the room was fine but we were very irrate! The Alessandro promotes itself as the best hostel in Europe, if this is the case then we must have very poor standards for our hostels.
Finally if you have any fear of death by blazing inferno then be aware that the shutters are chained and padlocked, so no escape there, scary thought when you are three stories up!

They did not allow us to open the window in the middle of the summer in Rome! At night, it was impossible to sleep since you are sharing a closed room with 8 other gals--door and windows are closed. No AC and only a ceiling fan. It was a like a sauna.

My bedsheets was not changed and I had to remove the previous user's dirty bedsheets by myself.

Bathroom was gross and disgusting.

Front desk was unprofessional: the guy staff flirted uncontrollably with females guests which made them uncomfortable; the female staff called some female guests "pregnant" and even made fun of different ethnic cuisine.

This hostel was really great, right by the termini and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We booked a prviate double room which was really clean and had air con. Internet is free up to 1/2 an hour and there is a bar which is a great place to meet fellow travellers. They give you a dicsount vouchers for meals at a nice local restaurant just around the corner. There is no elevator though so if you have a big bag and are right at the top, good luck climbing all those stairs! Would definately recommend this hostel to young travellers! Great time.
