We had a problem getting in because our train was late, but Simon was kind enough to come let us in and show us how things worked. There were 3 of us and the room was quite nice. Sara and staff were very nice and welcoming.... gave good advice on Restaurants and the location is great... near the Termini and about a block from a tube stop and right on a major bus line. The ac was not real cool but I think that this is common to ac in Europe; and the shower did not drain as quickly as one would like; however, despite these two negatives, all the positive things canceled them out. We were there for 5 days and were very please with the cleanliness and ambiance of the pension. I will stay there again, if possible.

Do not book here, as we booked our beds over three months in advance and after walking to the hostel, they told us they had no beds for us and we had to walk back toward Termini Train Station and go to Backpackers Hostel, which was also owned by them. They said the hostel had two beds for us and knew we were coming. When we got there, Backpackers also said they had no beds and knew nothing about us (I even showed them my registration sheet where I had paid a deposit online). Then they sent us to yet another hostel that they said wasn't quite finished yet but was fine to stay in. When we got there, wires were hanging from the walls, construction dust was everywhere, the bathroom wasn't done yet, and the beds had supplies piled on them. We refused to stay there and were sent to a fourth hostel. We wasted our whole day doing this and there were about 15 other people in the hostel we ended up at that they did the same thing to!! We chose Gulliver's House and paid more for beds there because we read we would have breakfast included, secure lockers, air conditioning, and a friendly staff. We had none of these things...in fact, since the hostel wasn't quite finished, they had no staff there at all to help us or give us breakfast. They were completely disorganized...so please be warned if you book here.

  • Liked — Everything was horrible...
  • Disliked — How disorganized they were and that we were sent to four places to find a bed when we had reserved ours.

We were there for a college break and we had a very nice trips. We were sometimes coming very late in the night and we never had problems with staff or other people sleeping there.

Great value, very clean and well located and deserved (near Termini).

The only weak point is the staff who was there : way too curious and falsly-friendly, he always wants to discuss with you and asks about everything. Maybe some people like that, we didn't (actually especially the girls among us). But except that everything OK, I'd recommand it! You just have to tell him to leave you alone and then it's fine! ;)

I loved this hostel. The owners were kind and professional. Fabulous location. About 3 blocks from the train station, 1 block from Via Nationale.

Gulliver's House is extremely nice. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. The best part however is the hostess Sara who is extremely kind and welcoming! My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay!!
