My family and me stayed at the Bramante for 5 nights during the end of september and beginning of october 2007. We found the hotel on the Internet and with some help from other hotels which were all occupied when we contacted them. We are very happy that the other hotels did not have any available rooms as we have now discovered a fantastic hotel with a superb location i Rome.

It was our first time in Rome, and travelling with children from 4 years and upwards can be a bit of a challenge. However, with the Hotel Bramante as our "home" and plenty of good advice from the frendliest staff you can possibly think of, our holliday turned out to be fantastic.

The hotel itself is very charming. We had a quadrople family room with an extra bed for the youngest member of the family. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was relatively small as you would expect in any big city, but could not have been nicer.

Every morning we all woke up looking forward to a fantastic breakfast (even if we had a bit too much to eat the night before). Fresh bread, good selection of cheeses, fresh fruits, ham, cereals, juices and even cakes, all topped up with fantastic coffee and hot chockolate for the children. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 as best, I would give the rating 11.

I have already recommende the hotel to other members of my family, and when we are going to Rome again, Bramante will be my obvious preferred choice.

We found this Hotel as it was listed in Lonely Planet as an excellent Hotel to stay. It was very close to the Vatican. Our room was right on the street, we were above, so it was a little noisy at times. The room itself was huge, it wasnt cheap though, it cost 210 Euros a nite which for us as Aussies was almost the cost of the Hilton here. The breakfast was fantastic, beautiful coffee and fresh fare. Would stay there again and thoroughly recommend it. All the staff were fantastic to us which was comforting.

Our stay at the Bramante was outstanding. The rooms were spotless and the staff was charming and very friendly. It is conveniently located to the Vatican and a short walk the all of Rome's sites. We enjoyed the breakfasts, the great service and especially the hospitality. Highly recommended!

My wife and I recently went to Rome to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We stayed at the Hotel Bramante - it is a small hotel within a 5 minute walk of St. Peter's Square and the Basilica of St. Peter.

The continental breakfast is wonderful offering fruit, various cheeses, juices, pastries, breads, ham, and many other items. Needless to say it was much more than the normal 'standard fare' you get as a 'complementary breakfast'.

The Hotel Staff, in particular Antonio, was very helpful in trying to get our bags from the airport. He must have called a minimum of 3 to 4 times each day until, on the 5th day we (finally) got our bags.

The hotel staff was very professional, friendly, and made you feel welcome. They also can provide you with good recommendations for restaurants and for other information. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the hotel staff.

My wife and I made the mistake of checking our baggage - and Alitalia had the bags for 4 days before they decided to deliver them on the 5th day. Note: They had the bags, knew where they were, and did not deliver them until the 5th day of our stay - the bags were also pilfered with items stolen from them - so DO NOT CHECK YOUR BAGS - please learn from our mistake!

I would say the ONLY negative we had while in Rome was trying to deal with both United and Alitailia in trying to get our luggage and the staff of the Hotel Bramante was very helpful in providing us advice, guidance, and support.
