“Amazing, exceeds expectations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012 via mobile

After a few disappointing meals in Rome, I searched trip advisor to find a place within 1km of our hotel. Sophia popped up and I was able to make a last minute booking.

When we walked in we smelt fresh flowers, the owners husband and wife were absolutely lovely. Their house red was delicious and the 3 courses we ate were delectable! Coming from Paris this restaurant was on par with the cuisine sampled in France!

Would visit again in a heartbeat. Thank you Sophia ( named after their dog) for the wonderful dining experience!

“Second favorite dinner whilst in Rome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Pasta here was amazing and the owner (Simon) paired all of of courses with great/complimentary wines. Great food, service, and atmosphere.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

We loved this place. It was just perfect. Sofia came recommended by our hotel and it certainly did not disappoint. We went to Sofia for my birthday dinner and as luck would have it, it was ideal. Amazing service, wonderful food with a lovely atmosphere. Everything was just perfect. We could not fault it. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing food and very nice people that own the place!!!! Their beef fillet with caramelised fruit is a must-have. Very good pasta too, of course :):)

“A class act...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012 via mobile

After a few poor meals in Rome, Sofia restored our faith in Italian food.

From the moment we walked in, we loved the place. Classy and sophisticated without being pretentious. It's small and tight but that's all part of the atmosphere and dining expereince. The design and feel is just very well thought.

Service, local white wine and bruschetta starter with the stars of the evening. Chicken main was slightly tough but forgivable based on everything else.

Genuinely a cool and delicious place. We booked, which I think is a must. Cost for a shared appetiser, two mains, a side, water and a glass of wine a very reasonable 40e.

Superb. Enjoy...
