Our flight from Rome to Newark was delayed 25 hours due to engine trouble, so Continental bussed several 100 of us to this facility. The desk help could not have been less helpful and the rooms were disgusting.

We stayed here only because our flight was delayed and the airline put us up there till 11pm so we'd have a place to rest until we had to go back to the airport. While we didn't technically stay the "night" and can't comment on that part, the bed seemed ok for the nap we took. I wouldn't give it the 4 star it says it's rated (on their sign) as it was smaller and not as nice as the 3 star one we had initially stayed in. I guess it was a decent size given what people say about European hotels though. First, they weren't prepared to let anyone check into their rooms. While I understand there was a whole lot of us who arrived, probably last minute, there must have been some rooms that were ready/not used that people could check into. The tv didn't work at all. If I weren't so tired and frustrated over the 14 hour delay, I probably would have complained more. There was also a bug, kind of looking like a beetle or cockroach in the bath tub. We had to flush it down with the shower. There was some mold along the tub as well. I was glad we weren't staying the whole night. The room had a bit of a smell as well.

We stayed at the Airport Palace hotel two days before and we were a bit worried as I almost always read bad things about this hotel.
According to us this hotel is very clean, beautiful and the staff is also very helpful and friendly. The rooms are not so big but well-equipped and the bathrooms are clean and you are also given lots of towels.
We were taken to this hotel as our flight from Rome was cancelled and as many other passengers of Alitalia we were transferred here with the free shuttlebus from Fiumicino airport.
The dinner was quite good, only the salad was frozen a bit. Breakfast was much better as you could eat as much as you wanted to and you had a great variety of choices: crossiant, other bakery things, lots of tea, juices, coffee, cappuccino, cold cuts, chese, fresh rolls, cereals, jams.... we were absolutely full after breakfast:-)

our fnight light from rome to athens with alitalia was cancel due to heavy snow in athens.

so alitalia pick all the passengers to this hotel for spending the night there.

hotels is about 15 min by car from fuminchino airport,but hotel provide a free shuttle bus from airport to hotel and vise versa every 30 minutes.

rooms are average size room provide us all the necessary breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast depsite we stay there only for 1 night by luck i can say it's a good hotel in an nice area
