The hotel is located on the via Nazionale, the main street in Rome, is close to the Coloseo, Foro, Vitorio Emanuele, all the main tourist attractions.

It's also near Termini station, very nice restaurants in the area and a bar open till late round the corner.

I stayed for 5 nights in a big triple room, 302, it was clean and nice, we do not have any complain about it.

Breakfast is downstairs, the lady is Italian and is very nice and chatty, breakfast is not luxurious but for me was ok, you have coffee, orange and pineapple juice form the machine, croissants (delicious), ham, peperoni, bread, butter, jam...
Although is not a five star the hotel is very comfortable, we had a lovely stayed there.

I will recommend it .

The most unpleasant hotel I've stayed in

Stayed at the Paris hotel recently in what turned out to be one of my most unpleasant stays at a hotel EVER. The room was small, which I had anticipated, given: a) this is Rome and b) the price. However, the service at this hotel is seriously lacking.

You must climb stairs in order to catch the lift. The wi-fi connection works every now and then. At one point, I went down to the reception as I had to send an urgent email and the internet was not working; the girl at the counter very rudely told me the internet was working and that I should try to connect at the dining area (which is next to the front desk. Only she said she could not turn on the lights, as the on switch was on the second floor... I don't think I need to clarify that this was not the case at all...

My room had a leak near the bathroom sink AND had roaches. When I went down to the reception to complain, they said they would "send someone right away"... at 1am? I don't think so... I immediately asked for a room change, which I got, only to trade the roach infested room for a disgustingly moldy scented room... lovely! And the carpets in the room seem to have never been cleaned, just touch them and wash your hands... you'll see all the dirt wash out.

The A/C being restricted to certain hours of the day is also extremely irritating. They do, however, have few accommodating staffers, such as the young girl, who I'm guessing is the owner's youngest daughter; she was always very polite and tried to help out with directions on a couple of occasions. As well as a very kind Italian woman who does the housekeeping. She even tracked me down to let me know I had left a few belongings after having switched rooms in a hurry.

Also, the rooms have a tiny safe to store valuables. There is an advisory in the room that states that the hotel is not liable for goods stored in the in-room safe, and that for better protection, you should leave your goods in the hotel safe. So I decided to leave a few items at the reception to put in the hotel safe while away. When I returned, I asked for my belongings at the front desk and there they were, right next to the receptionist. In other words, there is no hotel safe, which they didn't bother to let me know, even though their signs clearly indicate otherwise.

Overall, my stay at the Hotel Paris was a very unpleasant experience. Although the hotel is 'conveniently' located on via Firenze, very close to Reppublica metro, lacking customer service and the poor condition of the rooms I stayed in and the property in general are enough to turn me away from staying at this hotel again.

The hotel is very basic, good value for money (in my opinion) and what is most important - excellent location!
The place is very quite, stuff is OK (friendly enough), breakfast is good one.
Liked our stay there, will recomend it for people who come to see Rome and stay in the hotel (don't have any facilities, placed in former appartment building).

Stayed here last year - I did not book it so did not check reviews on this site like I normally do. I agree with some of the reviews I have just read. Hotel is in a great location but thats about it. Staff were not friendly at all and it always seemed to be a hassle for them anytime I had a query. Rooms were very basic - I don't mind this as long as they are clean however our bathroom had leaks and had a constand bad smell. Would not reccomend it to anyone. Also, from my memory it wasn't cheap so does not offer value for money. I have written reviews about numerous hotels and this is the only bad one I have ever written so please take my word for it and look elsewhere. Loved Rome though and didn't spend much time in room so not all bad.

You can take bus 64 from the terminal or walk to the hotel. You can either buy a single ride ticket for one euro or a one day bus and metro ticket for four euros at certainTabacchi. (You can ask people where is the Tabacchi)

The elevator made loud thumping sounds when it was moving. We checked into room 303. It was a simple but nice room. The Chinese guy at the reception desk was helpful. (The staff speak Mandarin) There was a supermarket located at 211/213 Nazionale Street. (2 1/2 blocks away from the hotel - about 3 minutes walk). Make sure you bring or own bag to hold your groceries or they will charge you for a bag. The hotel was within walking distance from the Colosseum. (That is if you don't mind walking)

When you visit the Vatican city, make sure you wear something that covers your shoulders and pants that cover your knees. Or you will be wasting your time waiting in the long lines. There are at least two security check points. It's free to visit the Vatican city. On the other hand, the entrance fee to the Sistine Chapel is 13 euros. However, it is free from 9:00 - 12:30 on certain days.
