crap. It's a beautiful hotel, with quite large rooms, and the people are very nice! Maby it's because we were there in the high season. We came back this afternoon and it was fantastic! only the poolguy was not very happy..but that's the only one!

The room smell like a toilet. A/C was only running between 1:30 pm to
12 am andit was HOT - and when it was running, it was noisy and didnt
work well. The room was extensively worn out. So if it is the last hotel with free rooms - dont bother - cancel your vacation, and find another time to visit Rome.

Room is large, A/C did not seem to work leaving you extrememly warm during the night. Breakfast is not included 5 euros per person for cereal and muffins. Kitchen has no utensils to use. Refrigerator did keep soda cold.
Quality Suites is right next door and offers updates and better accommodations.
Bus tickets offered at reasonable price, but the bus is over crowded, one seat each side of the bus leaving everyone else to stand.
Taxi ride will run you about 10 euros from most locations to hotel, but be careful....some cabbies take advantage of you and charge 20 euros for the ride to the Vatican. Remember only about 10 euros to Vatican is what the fare is, and it is faster than the bus.

Ok- I have never written a review before, but after staying at this hotel, I absolutely had to. My husband and I checked into the hotel recently. At first glance, it appears pleasant enough, until you get to your room. Our room was so gross and dirty. It still had a 70s style to it, and it looked liked it hadnt been cleaned since the 70s. On top of the lack of cleanliness, the hotel shuts the air conditioning off at 10pm and does not turn it on again till 2pm the next afternoon!!!!! I was roasting! Concerned I had broke the air conditioning, i went to the front desk, where I was rudely told about the air conditioning policy. The staff is also completely rude, whenever we had questions, they were on thier cell phones making personal calls, and did not even look up till they were done talking, additionally, when we asked about the laundry service, they told us to use the bus to go to a laundry facility. They of course, did not bother telling us the bus name/number or what laundry service or how to get there. They did not care at all about thier guests! We had reservations for 5 nights there. We ended up having to find another hotel which was a total pain, because we do not speak italian. We ended up checking out after one night and the hotel staff and manager caused a huge stink and tried to make us pay for the next four nights. Anyways, I hope this review will help someone out. I wish I would have known about this hotel. And so you know, Im not some rich old woman who expects excellence, Im in my 20s and have stayed in questionable hotels before and dont mind, but this was BAD! My husband put it best describing the hotel " You can get this hotel in the US for maybe $35 bucks a night, and the only thing missing is a hooker knocking at the door."
Future reference- stay at the Jolly Midas hotel. reasonably priced and has a free shuttle to the city center every hour.
