We booked through Booking.com which had good reviews of the hotel. The owner demanded payment in full the first night, in cash. The hotel was a dump. The room did not have heat, the neighborhood was not safe. We left after one night. The owner refused to refund any money. When I called Booking.com, they were told by the hotel that they only collected for one night. They lied about collecting for four nights. They said our receipt was not valid because it did not have the hotel ID number on it (how would we know this was required?). When I called the hotel again, the woman only screamed at me in Italian, would not even allow me to get a word in edgewise. The hotel basically robbed us of our money, then lied about this. These people who run the hotel are not honest.

The initial welcome was good but thereafter it was all bad. The worst was at check out. They threw our bags out since we were half an hour late (11.30 am) and wanted us to change in the linen cupboard. They did not allow us to check the room and consequently we lost a phone chager and some of my wife's cosmetics.

Hotel was acceptable but when I booked hotel on venere.com the rate per night was 60 Euros.When I arrived I had to pay 75 Euros per night and the receptionist said if I didnt accept and go somewhere else they would still charge my credit card.

This hotel was the worst I stayed in on my trip to Europe. We booked a room with a bathroom and when we checked in, we were told that we were staying in a different building down the street. We were on the 7th floor, and chose to walk mostly, because the elevator was so small. We were led to a room where there were four "hotel rooms" sharing a common bathroom. The room was small and stuffy and we were asked to tip the cleaning people everday. When we went to check out, about a block away, the staff was rather rude and not helpful in the least. DO NOT STAY HERE!
