We were part of a Trafalgar European tour group (cost-saver). We stayed at this hotel 2 nights and really spent minimal time in the room/hotel – after all we were in Europe to sightsee!

Hotel’s positives
- free internet
- rooms were an OK size
- breakfast was OK, there was cereal, pastries, juice and coffee
- supermarket next-door
- nice garden

Hotel’s negatives
- beds were lumpy and short (even for average sized people)
- bathroom was tiny and the toilet was on a slant and underneath a ledge (you’d almost fall off it)
- pipes made strange noises
- the shower was a little smelly
- supermarket next door
- too far from the city

  • Disliked — The lumpy beds

We stayed at this hotel for several nights on a tour in May.
There were several other group tours there, mainly american school tours.
Our room, on the first floor, was very small, dark and quite noisy. It was crowded with furniture and was not clean. The bed linen was fine, but the blanket and cover both needed a good wash.
The shower was adequate, but also undersize.
The breakfast room was very pleasant and the breakfast good.
What made the whole stay dreadful for us was the awful smell to the room, which, we believe, emanated from the rubbish bins outside and from the pipes within the bathroom. We were told by management that the hotel was full and there was no possibility of changing rooms. They were definitely hostile in their attitude.
The supermarket next door was excellent and there were banks and other facilities all near, which was good, as this hotel is some way from the centre.
We were very relieved to move on. I have stayed in much better places in Rome.

  • Liked — The breakfast and breakfast room
  • Disliked — The offensive smell in the bedroom and the small bathroom

we have stayed at this hotel for four nights, location wasnt so good a little far from the city center. but there is bus stop near the hotel so you can easily go where ever you want.
our room was the smallest hotel room i have ever seen but it was nice and clean.
and there is mcdonalds, upim and a supermarket next to the hotel that was nice for us.

Dirty, cramped, seedy, ants galore, and mosquito-ridden.

I agree with previous reviewers that the location of this hotel has a lot of positives. Easy access to a grocery, McDonalds, internet cafe, gelato store and the bus stop made our stay there almost bearable.

Our room, though, left much to be desired. We were staying with a tour group as this hotel seems to specialize in them. To be fair, some people in our group had a pleasant experience. But this is an accounting of what we encounered.

Our shower did not drain and the bathroom had an ant infestation. The carpeted floors were nasty so be sure to bring socks to wear around that you are then willing to throw away. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There are no screens so the mosquitos have free reign. After the first night of fighting them off and receiving at least 50 bites among us we kept the windows closed and endured the heat since there is no working air conditioning. The desk staff was unresponsive to our complaints.

Fortunately, we had read the reviews before we left and locked our luggage each day before we left the room. One day I left one bag unlocked and it was obviously looked through with things left messed up; fortunately nothing was stolen.

If you have ANY choice of whether or not to stay here, by all means choose another hotel. If you are stuck here with a tour group I hope our warnings will help you plan how to survive a stay at this establishment. Bring several cans of OFF and mentally prepare for a camping-like experience. And lock your luggage.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days in March with a large tour group. I thought the area was beautiful and there were places to go around it and it also wasn't as far from the cities as the other hotels we stayed at... I like how it was decorated and I thought they were well accommodating. I would highly recommend it. The garden I thought was very beautiful especially late night/early morning. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was it's showers.... they were way too small and the other ones that were in the hotel just covered the whole bathroom floor, i guess that's not too bad but a lot of the hotels we stayed at in Italy had really small showers but huge bathrooms.

I definately recommend this hotel though...
