“Beautiful Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I stayed here in the summer with a group of 9 family and friends. We stayed for one night either side if our cruise. The hotel was in a great location, down the road from a bus route which we took a short bus ride to the Colosseum, it was also close by to the metro station where we took a train journey to the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and The Vatican City. Also at the end of the street that the hotel was located was a few convenience stores and mcdonalds. The outside of the hotel was very picturesque and was set in the surroudings of greenland and big towering trees; it was also set back from the road so there was no traffic noise. We arrived at the hotel earlier than the check in time and they said they would get the rooms ready asap for us, but as we had a full day exploring the colosseum and surrounding area for the day we said we would che check-in later so they gaves us a cupboard/room where we could lock our luggage in. When we got back our rooms were ready and waiting for us. We had 3 double rooms and 1 triple room, and as requested we were all placed on the same floor (and corridor). The triple room had 3 single beds which was great for three teenagers that were staying in there! The rooms were extremely clean, and we had views of the surrounding gardens which was nice. If you don't want a hefty bill at the end of your stay I suggest you don't touch the televison. In the morning we had to check out an hour or so earlier than our bus was picking us up so the hotel kindly offered us a room where we could watch the olympics on the big screen-which was great! The breakfast was included and was available till 10:30, there was a wide selection of cereals breads and full cooked breakfast served in a buffet style, there was also fruit juices, water and tea and coffee stations which you also helped yourself to. Overall the hotel was briliant and I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about going to Rome. I would definitely stay here again. We got a really good price for this on Alpharooms.com even the Alpharooms employee on the phone was shocked at how cheap we got it and told us to get it booked!!

This hotel was good for us, 10 minute walk to the metro and comfortable.
Unfortunately our room reeked of cigarette smoke, but if it hadn't, it would have been fine.

Hotel room was comfortable, they had free wifi in reception but would have been nicer if they had wifi everywhere, but oh well. We could get a weak signal in our room.

Breakfast was big and quite good as well. Overall an average hotel, leaning on the good side. I would consider going back there possibly in the future, but wouldn't be sad if I didn't.

Room Tip: Mine reeked of smoke... So one that doesn't!

Hotel looks great, rooms were ok, however we stayed in a room that looked onto another building, luckily didn't spend much time in the room. Staff were not very helpful. For a four star hotel you would expect tea and coffee in the room, but none of that ! Also wifi was only free in the lobby. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. €12 per movie, and the only English channels were CNN and BBC news. Information was limited in the room with regards to the restaurants in the hotel. When we requested an iron, we were told to use the laundromat down the road. All said and done, still had a great time in Rome!!

We decided to stay at this hotel the night before our flight back to USA. It is within 20-25 minutes drive from Rome's Fiumicino major airport and it is connected to it by major highways. The hotel is used by regular clients as well as by conventions. It looks that it might have been own by a clerical or nun organization (Holy See) (some of of the conference rooms bear the names of some of the Popes. There is even a small chapel in the hotel. The hotel is big and it might have been built in the early XX century. The concierge was very nice during the check in as kindly requested to the kitchen a boxed breakfast to take out since our flight was earlier than the hotel regular breakfast time.
The room was clean and decorated sparingly. The bed was very comfortable. There was no noise in the environment.
Wi-Fi was available for a fee in our room and it was free in the reception area. Our laptop and our iPhone5 could not get the signal in the reception area, but our iphone4 got the wifi signal without any problem.
Parking was complimentary.
This hotel is a nice place to stay and it is a good value. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
We certainly recommend this hotel

What a great find in a very central part of rome . Owned by the vatican - wonderful chapel - and very close to the vatican . small rooms but great breakfast included .
the restaurant in the hotel is a bit limited but very nice . There are a few eateries nearby that are good. There is also a few small grocery shops to get essentials from .
there are always lots of priest and nuns staying there from overseas . Some in large groups .

Room Tip: the rooms are small

this former Palazzo is a very nice Hotel with good sized rooms and decent facilities. Although it's basically in the outer suburbs there is a Metro station 3 mins. walk away, with excellent connections to most of Rome's historical sites. Would come back for sure!

Room Tip: Hotel is in quiet area so there shouldn't be any noise issues.Rooms seem to be very quiet.

Really lovely hotel in a peaceful setting
Ideal for those who don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of city life i believe the hotel was an old monastery and it was very relaxing just outside the hotel grounds there was many amenities such as large supermarkets clothes shops resturants takeaways bars shops the metro station that connects straight to the Vatican and all other tour attractions is only 2 min walk from hotel and it only takes approx 10 min on train hope you all enjoy should you choose to go .
