This was a great value in an excellent location, right in the heart of Rome. The rooms were clean if a little small and all the various stuff worked (a miracle for Italy, in my experience). The staff were patient, helpful and did their best in whatever language you cared to try. If you are looking for cheap, this isn't it, but if you are in Rome for less than a week, take my advice and stay here - don't spend all your time on a bus or train. The Campo de Fiori and other great hot-spots are nearby, but not on your back porch, and most of Rome is easily walkable from here. The breakfast was also excellent, and had something for every pallet.

We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Della Torre Argentina in July 2008. The hotel is well situated to explore the roman ruins but not too far to walk to the Vatican either. It is very near Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. In fact we walked everywhere. We had a quad room for 2 adults and 2 teens and the room was a good size and the bathroom was spacious and very new looking. The most remarkable thing in the room was the incredible sound proofing shutters. This is really important for such a busy street, with the shutters closed it was peaceful and quiet in the room. Very important when we came back mid afternoon for a rest. The hotel serves a very nice breakfast in the basement, which is included in the price.

My family and I just took a long weekend in this hotel after checking out reviews on this site. I highly recommend it to those looking for value for money. The hotel has a great location and very competitive pricing.

We stayed in the quad room, we were all very impressed, with the room sizes and facilities. They were even able to provide us a cot for the baby with no extra charge.

We had an outdoor terrace, which whilst facing inwards onto the hotel and hence not having any real view, was quite from the road noise. Please note others comments about the hotel bar, I never saw it open during my stay.

I would definitely return next time I'm in Rome.

We've just come back from a 3 night stay in the Hotel Della Torre Argentina. The location is fanatastic, meaning you can walk everywhere easily. We only got on a bus to St Peter's, and this took less than 10 minutes and stops outside the hotel. The room was fantastic - we had a private terrace, which had views over Rome and was easily large enough for a table and 4 chairs.

The room itself was nicely decorated and the bathroom was new, with a great shower and lots of natural light. Although its on a main road we couldn't hear the traffic at night. The staff were always very helpful and spoke great English. I emailed the hotel before our stay and they replied that day.

The breakfast buffet is varied and of a good quality. Easily enough to fill you up for a day of sites. The location means you can also stop back at your hotel to enjoy a break and the air con!

We'll definitely be going back to the Hotel Della Torre Argentina.
