OK... This hotel was one of the stays on our tour around Italy. My husband and I did our own traveling... and had to stay here for various reasons. It's on a bad side of town, you can stay closer to the nice side for cheaper, the staff was RUDE, the hotel was a dead beat place.... not nice. The bathroom was a wreck. To "walk" to town isn't a walk... it's miles of a hike and to catch the bus on that side of town is terrible! I would NOT stay here again.....

Six old friends on a Trafalgar tour together - a hellish way to begin! After reading some reviews before we left, we were assured that our tour would not be staying in the "non-renovated" sectin of the hotel. Wrong! When we arrived in the early afternoon and were given our keys - yes indeed, we went through the beautiful foyer to a dark corridor with exposed wires to small dark rooms that were totally unacceptable. Some of the molding was even off with the nails exposed. After showing my e-mail about only using the new rooms,and having calls to London and Rome (proper) , three hours later we were given the new rooms. The difference was amazing. This is NOT a place you want to stay!!!

This hotel looks fantastic from the foyer. If you are staying at this hotel with a Trafalgar tour - then you are in for a rude shock. You go through this beautiful foyer through a secret door into the old part of the hotel. It actually looks like a really old hospital. The rooms are tiny as are the beds. Be careful if you roll over in the night - you may roll out of your bed. I came out in a massive rash, which i still believe was bed bugs. It was all red with huge welts like bites. I was covered from head to toe. When I called for medical assistance the front desk said they could help, and nobody showed up.

This hotel is also a fair way out of Rome, so you have to catch 2 trains to get to the Colesseum and 1 to the Spanish steps.

I would never stay at this hotel again.

Stayed there with Trafalgar tour in August. 2008. The rooms were terrible, smelly and rotten. Small make-up items "magically" disappeared from the room after cleaning. The corridor was dark, long and looked like a place for horror movies setting. Shame on Trafalgar for using such hotel for their groups. I would never use Trafalgar again as I can't trust them after being in such terrible place.
