where to begin........
this has to possibly be the most unprofessional, rudest, most vile hotel that i have ever stayed in.
having been to rome before the hospitality is always second to none, so to my surprise (at what turned out to be the manager of the hotel) was the most unpleasant italian that we could hope to meet. he decided to tell us that we where far to early and that we could not put our bags in the room, for us this was fine as we were ready for some food anyway. we asked if we could leave them in the baggage hold, to his reply of a grunt and never making eye contact, he decided to dump the bags in the middle of the hallway and tell us that was simply not possible. not one for an argument and a desire for some real food we left (taking all our valuables) and headed out for the day. we returned later that evening to find our bags still in the middle of the hallway not taken up to the room to which we were allocated. we went over to the reception and to our delight (or so we thought) a new shift worker who didn't believe that we were staying there and having to show him all our documents again. as shocking as it was believable he managed to be ruder than the so called manager.....
the room was cold dark and quite frankly depressing. the shower was not big enough for anyone who would dream about having more than one piece of pizza for lunch, and the amenities looked like disinfectant (sorry to say we didn't use our moneys worth!)
this review could go on but my simple solution for anybody who is thinking about staying in hotel fiori FORGET IT. we left on the second night after we we rudely awoken, because there was a complaint against us, only to find out that in fact it was the room next door. the night shift person did not come back to apologize but to simply scream at the other guests in the room, stating that being foreign and staying in this hotel was a bad choice, for it was really for italians. i can assure you this much, no italian in there right mind that would want to stay in this hotel.
on the other hand check yourself into hotel CAMPO DI FIORI (please don't get this mixed up!) and receive the treatment of royalty for an extra 25 pounds. it is extremely professional and location to die for. Have a glass of wine on the roof terrace or simply sit in the lobby and relax. Oh by the way hotel campo di fiori HAS a baggage room!!!!

The hotel is based above shops on 1st and 3rd floor. Rec. is on 3rd. Our room looked on to the main street. The problem with this was the noise from the street and the buses (no mufflers) coming and going as the bus stop is just outside. So we both lost alot of sleep for the three nights there (all pre paid - argh). Also the bathroom water pressure in our shower was a thick dribble. Dispite our compliant we were not moved nor offered a discount but explained they know it does this but does not know why. Both were feeling very disappointed.

How disappointing... I arranged a surprise birthday present for my partner to the wonderful city of Rome. After searching for many days on the internet, the hotel Fiori looked pleasing. many of the reviews seemed to hold it in quite a positive light. With no children accompanying us we didn't have to be so fussy. It was on an extremely busy and dangerous road, with an entrance that definately didn't make us feel we were entering a hotel, but a dodgy establishment. Greeted by an ignorant man on reception, who couldn't have cared less who we were, it was apparent that this was how it was going to be! The tv didn't work and the air conditioned leaked. The room was nothing like what was advertised on the internet, but small, very basic and not particularly clean. As we arrived early evening we thought perservere and see what happens. The floor was soaking wet where the air conditioning had dripped all night, the manager refused to change our room and said that the problem was normal! We found him rude and made no eye contact or apologies. Thus we left, he expected us to pay for the three nights that were booked and we ended up paying for two and hastily left. That could have quite easily have ruined our short break if we had not found the Campo Di Fiori apartments with their friendly staff that instilled a bit of faith once more in our short visit. Also it was in a much better location, just off the square of Campo Di Fiori and 55 euros cheaper per night!

I stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Fiori. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed had a firm mattress. The bathroom is very small and the shower was particulary small, for a larger person I could see this being a problem. The shower narrowed at the corner, it was a corner unit.
The location was great, it took 5 minutes to walk to the collesium.
I arrived late in the evening and was greeted by a freindly member of staff, who was very helpful.
The breakfast room was fine, although I have had better and larger breakfasts it was fine for the money. We were served a bread roll and a croissant with a cheese spread and a ham pate. We could opt for coffee or a cup of tea. There were 2 members of staff serving breakfast.
Very good value for money.

My boyfriend and I were in Rome for three days in December. We didn't know what to expect from the hotel. I read some reviews at this site, I think they're rather negative.
In my opinion, the staff of the hotel was very kind. They were helpful to us and we had no complaints at all. We think the room was very small and we were a bit disappointed about the bathroom, because there was no bath! But the shower was oke. The room was very clean. There were clean towels every day.
Breakfast was oke. We got two peaces of bread and crackers with coffee, tea or orange juice.
I can imagine that it's very noisy in the summer, but it makes a great difference if you shut the window.
The hotel is located on a perfect place. It's not necessary to use the bus or metro, you can even walk from the hotel to the Vatican.
During my next visit to Rome, I would stay at Hotel Fiori again!

If anybody has got any questions about Rome or the hotel, I would like to help you.
