“Beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

We spent one night here and really enjoyed the location right at the Vatican. The hotel was lovely, no complaints at all. For Italian standards the breakfast was excellent. Can only be recommended!

Very nice hotel. Location was amazing. Rooms are small. View from the terrace was incredible. Great boxed breakfast when we had to leave early in the morning!

A truly amazing location and atmosphere. It’s pretty well next door to St Peter's. Beautifully restored, extremely helpful and attentive staff. If your favorite part of Rome is the ecclesiastical history this is the perfect hotel and even it isn't you will remember the visit for a long time!

I can only compare to the excitement of a small palace hotel in Florence and Venice

I can't wait to have another business trip to Rome.

This hotel is perfect for exploring the Vatican area specially if you plan to visit the Vatican museum and the st Peter s basilica as it is literraly next door to these. From the terrace you can view the basilica which is so beautiful a t night! The only catch is that the entrance to the museum is in the other side of the Vatican wall which Was A good 30 min walk. This area is not near the Colosseum or Spanish steps but the metro is near. The hotel rooms are simpe but very clean and wifi was great! The bathrooms were also spacious and very clean. The breakfast had hot food and a very good variety of breads and cheese, fruits, jams etc. The front desk lady was also very helpful. I would stay there again!

We were just in Rome on a visit that required multiple visits to the Vatican and areas close by. This hotel was a perfect location for us! It is a tiny boutique hotel that used to be a Monastery and was changed to a hotel some time ago.

There are some rooms that are VERY spartan, tiny bathrooms, tiny beds, etc. We however opted to stay in one of the new suites (on the lower level of the hotel) and it was fabulous! Brand new rooms, beautiful courtyard views, two room suite with two bathrooms (not huge by American standards, but big by European standards for sure!)

There is a small rooftop restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served... I highly suggest checking it out at night for the breathtaking view of the Vatican.

Several of the hotel guests were religious (Priests, Bishops, Monks, Sisters, etc.) and it is very charming to see them walking around the hotel.

The check in ladies are very helpful, especially when we needed cabs, and some faxes sent.

This is a hidden gem and certainly worth staying here if you are planning on spending most of your time around St. Peter's Square!

Room Tip: The rooms are not terribly expensive here, but I would highly suggest upgrading to one of the new Su...

Main idea was trip to Vatican city and area around. That is the most best location if you have the same task. You need just cross only one street to appear on St.Peter sq. Rooms are veeeeeeeeery small and atmosphere like in monastery. Hotel have the world smallest elevator :)) Tips for travellers: 1. Taxi from Termini to hotel cost us €15 plus €2 as a tips cos we get a very funny driver. 2. Room wifi is only for one device, so try to use other room wifi to be online, like login: 211, pass: paolovi211, try 212, 213 etc :))

I spent two nights at this hotel a couple years ago on a business trip, I really wanted to attend mass there on Sunday morning and got my wish. It is an old converted Abby so the rooms are really small with single beds. Being an Architect I was impressed with the restoration of the old building and delighted with the detail of the decor and furnishings. The service is top drawer and the restaurant is exquisite......if you are on business and need some privacy and enjoy luxury, then this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: The rooms are very small but comfortable........
