LOCATION 9/10
Conveniently located close to the Termini Station and in a safe area due to the presence of the local Interior Ministry Headquarter.

RECEPTION 10/10
Very good service...this is their competitive advantage vs the usual Italian customer service approach. People are smiling and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing. The staff speak English fluently.
Possibility to leave the luggages for the last day of staying before going back to Termini station.

ROOM 7.5/10
Very small but clean and nice. Some noisy from the outside due to the traffic or to the local market set up in Via Balbo (from 6-6.30 am)....so...to be avoided if you would like to sleep till late!
Some TV channels are missed.

BREAKFAST 7.5/10
Good breakfast for a nice start of the day. It is served till 9.30am only...it would be better to extend the time to 10.30am.

PRICE 7/10
The price is extremely high, especially if compared to the local 3 star hotels. at the same price it is possible to find 4 star hotels in the downtown. On the other side the high rates help in maintaining a high class kind of customers.

We could not have asked for a better hotel. The whole staff was friendly, helpful and just overall great. They answered all our questions both before our trip and during the trip, helped us book a tour, basically met every need we had. The location was a few blocks to public transportation which was very convenient. The rooms were quite comfortable. We had one triple and one double. If we ever get back to Rome, we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 4 days. Great, friendly staff on duty 24 hours with excellent English. Only 11 rooms so there is a very cosy atmosphere. Can wall (about 6 blocks) to the train station for both Italy and airport trains plus metro.. Breakfast simple but good -cereal, juice, coffee, yogurt, bagettes. We paid extra for airconditioned room and glad we did so. If windows have to be open, it would be very noisy from street traffic. Nice safe neighborhood and you can walk to many of the sites. Rooms simple and very clean. Staff let us use the one computer at the front desk for email check. Glad we stayed there.

If you want or need to stay near Termini for a few nights and don’t want to spend too much then I would say that this hotel is quite a good choice. Rooms are a reasonable size and clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a reasonable choice for breakfast and the coffee is excellent. The hotel is on the first floor of the building and the entrance at street level is not particularly attractive. You need to press a call bell for the outside door to be opened. The one thing that I would consider before booking is the traffic noise from the street outside. Via Depretis is a busy street and traffic noise is very noticeable well into the early hours of the morning. You will find it very difficult to sleep with the windows open. Closing them (they are double glazed and effective at cutting out the traffic noise) means that you will probably need the air conditioning. An extra 10 euros per night for a unit that itself is quite noisy. The hotel is on a street corner and the other street has a daily market in the morning. Stalls are set-up very early; 05:30 am. Another reason for sleeping with the windows closed.

The hotel is very well located (walking distance from everything: Colosuem, Forum, Pallatin, Spanish steps, Trevy Fontana etc...) and clean for North American standards. The whole staff is VERY helpfull and will always find a way to answer your questions in a competent matter.
Our rooms was located near the market street so you may want to bring some "ear blocks" if you want to sleep late! However all Rome's streets are noisy....
