Excellent stay....stayed for 2 nights in May 2009, had a room on the 4th floor and friends had the 5th floor...Got a taxi from Campino airport cost us 25 Euros. Went to eat on the first evening at the restaurant attached to the hotel (must book a table) which was lovely, pizza to die for!
Rooms were clean and tidy, for the money paid it was well worth it. Breakfast room has a computer and they serve drinks in the evening. Breakfast is more than acceptable, croissants, bread rolls, cake, cereal, juice, cold meats and yoghurts coffee and tea
The underground is no more than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and around 15 mins will take you to Termini, it cost 4 euro for a day pass or you could get a 1 journey ticket for 1 euro.
Staff really friendly and helpful.

The hotel was better than I expected, our room was on the 5th floor - lovely and clean - with a massive balcony overlooking the area. The reception staff were very friendly, they organised a bottle of champagne and strawberries to be put in our room for my boyfriends birthday - it was lovely! They booked us a table in the restaurant next door - this is defo worth a visit - the food was amazing and it was a really good atmosphere. Its a good idea to brush up on your Italian phrases, or take a menu translator with you because the entire menu is in Italian & only one of the waitresses spoke English. We let them choose our starters and main courses - and we were not dispointed!
Hotel is in a good area, there is a little shopping centre and supermarket close by, and the metro is easy to find. Had no problems getting to and from central Rome.
My only wish is that we stayed a bit longer.....and had extra time to explore the area.

“Great value in Rome”

We stayed in the City Guest House from 16th-19th Jan and had a great stay. We were given the choice of two rooms, one was an upgrade on the 5th floor, we took this room as it was more modern and looked like it had been refurbished.

As people have already said the hotel is only about 15mins by metro to the city centre, the metros where frequent, think the longest we had to wait was 4 mins! We also got a taxi from the centre of Rome one night and it was EUR16. The other nights we got the metro home and felt safe walking about the local area.

There is a restaurant right beside the hotel, we wished we had got the hotel to book a table as we went here on the Saturday night and had no mission of getting a table, the food looked amazing, very disappointed that we couldn't get a table. we walked around the local neighborhood and found another restaurant where we got a really good meal.

We had breakfast in the hotel one morning, it was fine, but for EUR5 you could get better in central Rome.

Overall I would recommend this hotel for someone on a budget in Rome, the rooms are clean, its easy to get to with the metro and the rate that we got was excellent.

Excellent basic hotel. Clean and tidy. Room cleaned everyday. Breakfast is adequate. Not far form nearest metro and only a short ride to the city centre.

The Hotel was good. It is not to far from the center and it is very close to the metro.
