Excellent basic hotel. Clean and tidy. Room cleaned everyday. Breakfast is adequate. Not far form nearest metro and only a short ride to the city centre.

The Hotel was good. It is not to far from the center and it is very close to the metro.
Good one.

Getting there:

This place is less than 5 minutes to walk to the closest metro station on Line A, Numido Quattro.

Location

It's 15 mins from Spagna (Spanish steps) and 30 mins from the Vatican on the Metro. We didn't really spend much time around the hotel , but as we only wanted a place to crash, this was ideal that by metro we could get to all the tourist spots very quickly.
It seemed quite resedential and I wouldn't advise anyone to walk around alone over here late at night, but that goes for anywhere.

Rooms

Spacious but basic. The tv didn't produce a clear picture eventhough one of the staff tried there best to get it to work. The shower is compact but powerful.

Staff

All friendly and helpful

Other Amenities:

They have a bookcase of tourist books (Eyewitnes guides) etc that you can sign out and use for your stay. They have guides on other places in Italy if you fancy going to Florence for the day. They were a bit old though as we noticed one book quoting prices in Lira.

They have a computer downstairs for guests to use, never needed it myself but other people found it useful.

Overall

This was a good place for the price and ideal if you just want somewhere to crash and travel into the main areas by metro in under 15 mins

My fiance & I stayed here in October 2008 and had initially booked for 3 nights but had to check out and move to another hotel after 2 nights of no sleep at all!
The air conditioning did not work, the room was far too hot to sleep in, as well as that the noise from the road was awful as we were not able to sleep, between cars, mopeds and bin lorries emptying rubbish at 4am and then again at 7.30am. we asked to be moved room after our 2nd night of no sleep. the girl on reception said they were full and couldnt move us, even though i witnessed a couple checking out!

We went back to our room and packed our bags after making an online boking for a much better hotel which was located in a central area and not in a horrible area like city guest house, it is not a nice area at all with dodgy looking people hanging around street corners and groups of youths in dark areas - not somewhere we felt safe!

On arriving at reception to check out, we were asked why and after explaining again that we couldnt sleep, not even an apology was made. The service was awful and i would not recommend anyone to stay here, or if you do stay away from room 403!

I went with an open mind after reading good & bad reviews but honestly hated this place and i really do not complain often! In my opinion your money would be better spent elsewhere!
