If you want to be within walking distance of all the sights (or metro if your feeling lazy), of decent restaurants and a distance from the lucky lucky men trying to make you buy roses for your Mrs then this is the place for you.
Hotel was immaculate with all the staff being both friendly and informative, and the happy "3" hours were a real treat in the bar and a lot cheaper than some of the resteraunts. Breakfast had a decent selection for all, and the hand delivered weather forecast's with chocolates for the following day were a lovely touch despite only telling me we were going to get rained on.
From the airport we would recommend the shuttle as it was around 17.50 each to your hotel door as a pose to the 11 euros each on the train and metro. We would also recommend this on return as catching the train (which was slower than motorway cars) can take a long time.
We would reccomend whilst seeing the vatican and colleseum to go on the guided tours. while they are a little more expensive they are definitly worth going on and give you a lot more information than you would ever know just walking round alone. Also dont be fooled by the long queue to get into the vatican ...it moves very quickly.

We would gladly stay here again...
