Stayed at Hotel Aranci for three days while in Rome. This hotel is located in Parioli near Villa Borghese. It is a beautiful hotel run by lovely, polite people eager to help you. Marco was exceptionally kind and helpful. Always greeted you with a smile as did everyone. The gentleman who carried our luggage up to our rooms was also very kind and sweet. The rooms were meticulously clean and offered everything you might need. The corner rooms are particularly nice and spacious. My room #130 had three large vertical windows. One in the bathroom and two in the room itself with french style doors opening to the large patio. Tile floors and beautifully hung sheers and drapes made this room comfortable and inviting. While this hotel is slightly out of the way it is well worth it and the taxi to the city center is a learning experience as you become familiar with landmarks along the way. I highly recommend this hotel for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle after a day in Rome and have a lovely room waiting for you.

i have been for three days in rome and stayed at the hotel degli aranci. after reading the reviews here i have to agree that this place is in a relaxing spot of the city. If you want a nice and quiet place this is the hotel! dont expect to much of the breakfast because it is marginized to some bread, cheese, bacon, eggs and milk. the cappucino was not that great for italian standards.

the room on itself meets the requirements and the staff is very helpfull and professional.

but if you like to go out on a evening and dont want to lose time on your evenings it is better to book a hotel in the centre of rome. mostly i would prefer via barbini if i would stay in rome for the next time.

My lovely wife and two daughters, ages 24 and 21, and I loved the Hotel Degli Aranci and it's very professional and friendly staff. We stayed there for 4 lovely nights in mid-August 2005. The recently renovated rooms are far superior to the photos on the website, the breakfast delicious and plentiful, the public areas lovely and computer room and facilities first rate. We had a spectacular terrace with a view of the City on one side, the Tiber to the north and the Swiss embassy and gorgeous mountains to the east. It was so quiet, one evening we opened the windows to both bedrooms and the door to the terrace and slept soundly while breathing in cool, fresh night air. The staff was energetic, willing to please and very kind and accommodating, and the short trip to the Spanish steps by cab (7-10 Euros)or bus well worth the solitude and grace of this beautiful hotel. At 150 Euros per night, we felt very fortunate to have found this gem in Parioli. We would stay here again in an instant! William Brady, Denver, Colorado

Lovely hotel. Not part of an impersonal giant hotel chain but a quiet friendly hotel in a charming area away from the noise and traffic of the centre, yet only a 15 min bus journey away from Termini. (Or do as we did and walk through the Villa Borghese Park to the Spanish Steps, approx. 40 mins but loads to see) Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, tidy and well decorated. If it's not on display at breakfast just ask and you will get, no problems.

There is a wonderful restaurant down the hill to the main road and to the left where you will be surrounded by locals enjoying a great meal....always a sign of a good restaurant. Service is great. Also a superb wine shop 5 mins away with a huge choice of wine to buy.

If you don't want to stay in the noisy centre of the town then I would recommend this hotel highly. We will be back.
