Been to Rome a couple of times now and although the "termini" area is not the best, being near to the station gives you an abundance of travel options around the city.
The hotel itself was cheaper than those we used in the past and to be honest beside the decoration which is minimal we could not see a significant difference to the more expensive ones we used in the past. The rooms were clean and quite large, bathrooms hygenic, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was typical of what you get in Rome and dare I say it nearly every hotel in the world, cold meat, cheese rolls, scrambled egg, bacon, cereal, tea, coffee and fruit juice.
bar area small but cheaper than drinking in most of the cafe's and retaurants, we only had a couple before going out for the evening. reception staff were helpful and didn't pass any comments even though we returned each night with our own wine to drink, saying that the mini bars in the rooms were poorly stocked. there's a supermarket near so I suppose most hotel users do the same thing as it's a lot cheaper.
Rome itself was busy as normal for October, the weather was great.
Overall I would go back to this hotel and would recommend it to others only if they are more interested in the sights of Rome and convenience of getting there rather than the quality of hotel and it's amenities.

I and my spouse stayed in the Milani Hotel for 4 nights.
We arrived to Termini station by Leonardo Express from the airport and it took like 3 minutes walk with the luggage to get to hotel.
The room was very nice and clean, it included a double bed, fridge, and the safe. The toilet and the shower there very clean too and renovated not a long time ago. The room had air condition system so the temperature had always been 24 C.
The breakfast was a buffet that included scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, cheese and ham and a variety of cereal, yogurts and fruits for desert. The stuff was very helpful and nice.
I am going to recommend this hotel to all my friends.

i've been in this hotel last may and i really like it. For the kind hotels in Rome that i've been before this is definitely one of the best. It has a really good breakfast (a little bit early for me, it finishes at 10) but it's simply great.

Rome is an expensive city, not to mention dirty and smelly (what a shame!!!). If you stay in the city centre, be sure you're paying an arm and a leg for it eventhough your accomodation is only a basic 3 star hotel. Our hotel, hotel Milani is only a block away from the train station, so it's easy enough for us to walk.

We kept our un-used suitcase at the airport, they called it: left lugage (6 euro/day) and took the Leonardo express train from Fiumicio airport to the Termini Station in the central of Rome. We were rather impressed with the state of both (inside) the train and the station - at least they are clean(ish), yeah i know. 11 euro/person for the train ticket and it took about half an hour.

Passed the bumpy and smelly roads, we arrived at the hotel. It was rather nice. The staff're friendly and the lady who checked us in spoke very slow english - clearly she's trying to remember all the words in english (while talking to us). The lift worked well and clean and the marble staircase opposite the lift was so shiny -they love marble here in italy. The room itself was average. it was a very basic large room with a wardrobe, a (unfortunately) hard bed and a (thank god) good shower. TV is available in the room with most channels in Italian :)
Breakfast's on the ground floor and it was ok with a fab Italian coffee.

As I have said, it was all very basic and average and it cost us AUD666 for 3 nights 4 days, so if you can find somewhere else better and very central... let us know!

Milani hotel is located near Termini station so on your arrival to Rome, take the train!

When we arrived at Milani the receptionist was very kind and spoke proper English. He gave us the key to room 103. The room was medium as i expected (as you probably know European room are usually tinny). The room didn't have shower, only a douche, which was bit disappointment for me, because after a long walking day I wanted to cool down and relax in a bath. But in general I got whatever I need in the room, even when the TV was broken, I was given a new one instead.

Breakfast was great. Had all it takes to satisfy me. The waiter will bring you cappuccino, you just need to ask.

During our entire stay the receptionists where very kind and
helpful. Feel free to ask them for help. They know the city :)

The location of the hotel is great because it's close everywhere you need to go, just few bus stops to the main streets (such as del corso) and piazzette. I must admit that termini station is not a decent place to be at night. But you just take off from there so don't worry.

I also uploaded video about the hotel. For more information feel free to contact me.
