We stayed here for 3 nights that were terrible! I must first say the benefit was the location, the roof top view was incredible at night (when they would actually let you up there), and Pietro who served breakfast and drinks. Pietro was very kind and so helpful to all of us.
To start off, we were told that there was ample parking for us. Were in a group with 9 cars. Well, were were stuck in their alley way blocking cars that were none to pleased with us. This was the unpleasant end to trying to locate the hotel. After no help from the hotel, we located places to park around/near the hotel. The next day we checked on the cars only to find that 2 of them had been towed. The hotel made a phone call in which they were not willing to translate! Lucky for us we had someone in our group that spoke fluent Italian. $600 US dollars later we got them back.
Check in was very confusing and the gentleman did not seem to care for Americans. He seemed to be very demeaning at every opportunity throughout our stay. We learned not to ask him for anything!
Our room was a triple that was very cramped but a pretty room. The view from the room was the gorgeous! The last day that we were there the group began talking and realized that all of us had noticed mysterious bites on us....bed bugs!!! Yes, bed bugs! We spoke with the front desk with no attempt to assist us or concern. One member of the group also had a necklace stolen from the room while we were gone to dinner. We were gone about 2 hours at the fabulous restaurant around the corner!
Nonetheless, we abruptly checked out and contacted our hotel in Sorrento and took off. We didn't care if we had to pay for the last night or not.
I do not recommend this hotel at all unless changes have been made. It took 3 weeks and medication to treat the bites. I loved seeing the Vatican, roman forum, and coliseum yet I wish we would have known all of this before hand.

I really loved this hotel. The room was small but very clean and nice. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was well above average Italian "continental breakfast" and the roof terrace was a bonus item. The location was excellent. Colosseum and Forum Romanum were just few steps away and other sites either within walk distance or easily accessible by metro. The hotel was on a quiet street and the traffic noices didn't bother at all. When the window was closed it was absolutely quiet inside. If I ever go to Rome again, I will certainly stay here again.

We stayed our first night in Rome at the Grand Palazzo Carpegna near the Vatican City. Although, the Grand was a much nicer hotel, I liked Fori Imperiali better because it is central to everything. You basically walk out of the hotel front door and see the Colosseum, Forum, and Palazzo Venezia. Our room was a bit small, but surprisingly the bathroom was quite large comparatively. We were out most of the day exploring, so the room didn't really matter to me since it was really just a place to sleep...It was clean and had a TV, that is all that mattered to me at the end of the day.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel the first leg of our tour of Italy. It is a no-frills hotel which i would rate as lower 3 star. The receptionist was helpful and pleasant. The room was small but had good airconditioning which was a delight to have. The bathroom was tired, especially the shower which needed renovationg. The continental breakfast was adequate. We used the rooftop terrace to relax on mainly as the room was a little oppressive. Use this hotel as a base to explore Rome, 5 minutes from the Colluseum and 15 minutes from the shops. There are pleanty of restaurants in the vicinity too.

My husband son and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a cruise. I had read up on the reviews before we went.

I was disappointed in the immediate environs of the hotel, in back streets which are covered in graffiti. The hotel itself was not as smart as the photos online suggest either.

My first impressions of our 4th floor room was that it was small and adequate but by no means luxurious. Maybe I was influenced by the fact that we had just come from a 5* cruise ship, but even so...........

There is a tiny sitting area in front of a bar, just by reception, and a small seated area for the breakfast buffet. The "roof garden" was a great disappointment. It was a covered paved seated area, very small with views of the residential backstreet area around. I had hoped to sit up there to read or have a pre dinner drink, and to enjoy the sun, but having seen it I gave that idea a miss.

The cold buffet was adequate, one type of sliced cheese, slices of one type of ham, croissants, cakes, cereal, two juices, nice coffee, sometimes fresh fruit.

On our first night, the air conditioning failed so we opened the windows in an attempt to cool down. I was unable to cope with the heat and street noise and eventually went to reception at midnight to plead for another room. I was given one, and the air con was sort of fixed over the next few days . We weren't offered any compensation for the inconvenience.

The location in Rome for the tourist is by far the advantage of this hotel. It is literally 2-3 minutes from the Colusseum and the Roman Forum and well placed for the underground station. I would stay here again for a short budget break. I wish my expectations had not been as high, really.
