I think I don’t need to talk about it…it’s world famous so I have only 3 advices … the first one is “DON’T miss it!!!”, the second is … “get a guide!” I get one in S. Peters Square early in the morning; they are “seeking” for tourists so don’t be afraid because it’s a fair proposal:
- You don’t need to queue to get in (you’ll start in the Vatican Museum)
- You’ll have and audio set so you don’t need to be around the guide every time
- At least for me was very useful to have someone knowing a lot about history and showing the most important/interesting pieces at the museum.
- I’ve paid 39 euros (25 for the guide and the 14 for the ticket)
Last but not least, don’t forget to climb to the “Copula”, its 7 euro’s with the elevator (5 without it) but you’ll still have to climb around 300 steps but the view is really worth it, for sure one of the bests views that you can find in Rome.
