“A great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

Well worth the walk from the hustle and bustle o the tourist areas off Rome. Once you cross the River Tiber you find yourself in the Trastevere area. Once you have found it, which is not difficult, do not hesitate to eat in this charming, welcoming restaurant.
We ate there twice with our family at lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed the well cooked dishes. My husband enjoyed the beer which was a draught beer and the house wine, by the glass, which I had, was excellent. We got service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely ambiance and frequented by the locals which is always a sign of a good place to eat.

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Lots of restaurants boast theirs is la vera cucina romana, but this one is the real deal. From the time you enter through a tiny back street off the Campo dei Fiori to the warm welcome at the door, you are right in the Rome so many places have lost. The food reveals a respect for tradition combined with imagination, so a dish like gnocchi with tiny octopus and clams comes as a bit of a surprise. The whole meal was a delight and the prices very reasonable. The place was full of locals, all of whom had booked. You had better book, too, if you don't want to miss out.

“Finally, a wonderful meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

On our last day we found this place off of the Campo d'Fiori. I knew that we hadn't found that one perfect Italian meal until we came here. The food was sublime and service attentive. Our waiter spoke excellent English. Mostly locals frequenting the place so we though we would give it a try and it was fabulous. Highly recommended and try the specials of the day.

“Fantastic local restaurant near campo dei fiori”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014 via mobile

For our last night in Rome, my husband and I wanted to make sure we had another local feeling experience, away from all of the tourist traps. We read the reviews for La Fiaschetta on trip advisor and decided to check it out. We walked to this smaller restaurant down an alley several blocks from the main square of Campo dei fiori and it was packed. We figured it must mean it was good so we walked in. We couldn't have been happier about our choice. We arrived on a Wednesday night around 9:45 and there were no open tables. One of the waiters greeted us and said it would be about 15 minutes. We decided to wait right inside the door and after about 5 min the same waiter brought us two glasses of wine to enjoy while we waited -- on the house! The interior of the restaurant was very cool and hip with nice wooden accents. The majority of the diners were younger locals, although there was a table of older locals as well. Even though we were the only non locals in there, we felt very welcome. The waiters spoke plenty of English and seemed excited to have us there. After we sat about 10 min later, our waitress came to take our order. She was very happy to give us her suggestions and help us decide on a bottle of wine, which was a great choice. She also didn't suggest the most expensive bottles which was a great sign. We ended up ordering 1 appetizer, 1 pasta, 1 main dish, 1 side dish, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine for 60 Euro which was a great deal! And everything tasted excellent! We split a bruschetta appetizer which was on the most delicious bread we had during our entire trip. I had incredible and fresh pasta carbonara and my husband had the sliced beef with tomatoes and parmesan which was delicious. We ordered a side of the roast potatoes which were excellent! For dessert we got a tiramisu and another dessert based on our waitress' recommendation. Both were absolutely wonderful! We were even able to sit and enjoy the rest of our bottle of wine without feeling the least bit rushed. Not only was the staff friendly, a few of the local patrons, who were obviously regulars by their interactions with the staff, were politely talkative as well. All in all, a fantastic way to spend our last night in Rome. Very highly recommended for a truly relaxing Roman experience!
