The Villa Farnesina was one of the most impressive places we visited. It's a little difficult to find as it is not well posted and we almost gave up looking for it, but are glad we did not. It was not crowded and thee frescoes are incredible - especially the Loggia of Cupid and Psyche frescoed in 1518 by Raphael and his workshop. I could have stayed in this room all day--it was beautiful and so serene.
