The Hotel Art is on one of the most charming streets in all of Rome, cobblestone surrounded by art galleries and cafes. It is tucked away in a neat enclave five minutes from the Spanish Steps and great restaurants.
As you walk down the cobbled entryway, a little difficult to pull roller luggage on, you enter a uber-modern lobby with high bar against the wall.
The colors are vibrant and bold, each floor its own fluorescent orange or electric green for example.
The concierge was helpful, but not warm and friendly. Sometimes, they even appeared aloof and annoyed.
On to the room, it is all high-tech with internet on the tv, with the most un-useful keyboard ever! UGH!
It was small, they said they had none with a view, so we faced the interior courtyard. It was fine at first, functional. Then the NOISE BEGAN! You can hear the room next door flush the toilet!!! Yes, the toilet. You can hear the hum of conversations ALL night. When guests are in the hallway, you can hear clearly the conversations. The walls are paper thin and the guests were young and partying all night, came home and had more parties in the hallway.
We barely slept, and even in the morning heard so much noise as people were getting ready to leave their rooms.
Anyway, if you are deaf, it is a great place to stay. One plus, the breakfast buffet is pretty good.
