“Nice hotel, one bad incident”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Good hotel and nice (tiny) rooms. Very modern. Very good location, close to metro, spanish steps and good shopping. On a very cute, quiet street. Apparently the temperature for the room is controlled by the front desk, not your thermostat, so when you get there you have to call down and tell them to turn on your air. We had problems with our AC and woke up sweating in the middle of the night. There was nothing they could do about it, which was very frustrating. They brought us up a fan and fixed it the next day. Also, they give away free wifi in the lobby for :30 and then you have to pay, but if you keep asking for the free :30 cards they just give them to you, which is nice because it's a little ridiculous to pay for wifi in the lobby.

Great location on quiet street. Very close walking distance to all the major sites and some good restaurants close by. The breakfast at the hotel is a stand out with plenty of fresh offerings. The rooms are small, but it is Europe, however very comfortable and modern. The staff were very helpful and nothing seemed a problem.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely stay, the staff were very helpful and polite contrary to some other reviews, the breakfast/dining/reception area is very cool (old chapel), the rooms are nicely designed with comfortable but firm beds with a few cracked bathroom tiles being the only signs of wear, and the brightly coloured up-lit corridors are fun. The street is almost hidden and very quiet and has lots of little art galleries etc, the next street is a much busier street with expensive clothing shops and hotels which links the Spanish steps and piazza de popolo. Very good spot for seeing the sights if you don't mind walking a little, 2 mins to steps, 30 mins to coliseum, 40 mins to the Vatican, 10 mins to Trevi fountain, all with other interesting areas to walk through on the way. If you don't want to do much walking, the hop on-hop off tour bus is a must have weekend ticket.
The only negatives are the lack of free wi-fi and lack of clear information in the rooms as to the services provided (i.e. Is wifi available at all?) having said that, ask the staff and they will give you the info required. We didn't go Rome to watch tv but if we did we would have had to pay 24 euro per day for tv and wifi.
You are paying a bit more for the stylish location and a bit of something different but it is a lovely part of Rome and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Spent four nights at this hotel. It is perfectly located within 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps and the Piazza del Poppolo and their subway stations. Despite its proximity with these popular touristic places, it is located on a small charming and quiet street. The decor in the interior is interestingly very modern. The breakfast is good and served in a nice room. Access to wi-fi cost 9 euros per day (although a free voucher valid for a one-time 30-minute use was provided at our arrival) and could only be accessed from the lobby and we would have wished to have free access from our room in a hotel of this quality. The bed sheets are in linen and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have had in hotels which was quite appreciated after long days
walking through the city.

Stayed at hotel art for 3 nights arriving the first night at midnight and found this hotel to be amazing! Breakfast the next morning was an astronomical delight with the most delicious scramble eggs on this planet. The selection of food/fruits and local cuisine was fresh and tasty, but who would of thought to have had prosecco for breakfast a good addition! One of the members of our group had lost luggage the staff bent over backwards to ring the airline and airport to assist in locating the luggage. The location is 10/10, decor is funky and delightful, dining room unbelievable. Highly recommend this hotel and definitely would stay again.

Room Tip: We had the yellow floor (1st floor)

This hotel has a very modern decor and is located right next to the Spanish Steps. I stayed here for three days in Rome. The hotel's modern design was impressive but I would not stay there again for a few reasons.

1. I found the staff to be aloof and unfriendly. When I asked for help, I would get clip, short responses that made me feel I was definitely bothering them. One of the front desk staff even seemed to look away each time I approached the desk obviously about to ask a question.

2. The location was not the best. Near the Spanish Steo you mostly just have a lot of ultra high-end stores and since I was there to see sights, rather than shop, I didn't see much I was interested in. I had to travel out to find the restaurants and sights. I would have preferred to have them within walking distance.

The location of this hotel is perfect, right near Via del Corso, Piazza Del Popolo and the Spanish steps. The interior is very modern and funky, and the staff were really helpful and speak perfect English. Breakfast was also lovely. A great choice!
