We stayed at the Hotel San Fracesco for three days in July. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our flight arrived very early from New York City (7 am) and they gave us our room, which was great because we were so exhausted. The hotel is on the fringe of the Travestere, but all of the sights were relatively close and there are several decent places to eat in the area. The only downside was minimal A/C. It was so hot the last day of our stay we have to leave the mini bar open to cool the room. Not neccessarily a deal breaker (more of a tip!).

We have just returned from a four day trip to Rome. The hotel is really worth staying in. Ideally located for sight seeing, the map the hotel gives you is great, shows all the main sights and is easy to follow. in the evenings there lots of excellent bars and restaurants near the hotel, and the are more affordable than the city centre.
The hotel is clean, quiet and the breakfast is great.

We (my extended family, age range 13 - 84) stayed here for 4 days just before Christmas. Everyone was happy! That says it all, really. The hotel is slightly outside the more touristy part of Trastevere, and none the worse for that - and is well placed for reaching all the sites provided you can cope with public transport ( take bus [used to be tram] 3 for the Colosseum, the Palatino and Testaccio; tram 8 for Largo Argentina, both have stops very close to the hotel - bus stop for bus to the Vatican somewhat further away and harder to find, but still within walking distance) ; hotel staff were incredibly helpful, patient, and generous with their time; breakfasts were both substantial and delicious; water hot, rooms were warm (not always the way in Rome in winter) - and no smaller than is usual (!). We would all happily return.

Very well located small friendly hotel, in which we spent 4 nights between christmas and new year day.

Trastevere is the hype roma area, and the hotel is very well located. Near a lot of good and typic italian restaurants, and near the historic center (2 tram stations).

The tram station is 50m from the hotel, and in 5 min, you are in Piazza Navona, or Trevi.

The rooms are good, clean and quiet. Not luxurious, but fair for the price.

The breakfast is also good, as the room, no more comments. Good for a 3 stars international standards.
