Good location but that’s about all this hotel has going for it.

Rooms are very small, noisy and VERY overpriced. We could hardly move in the tiny bathroom. We were supposed to have a non-smoking room, but it was clear that the room was designated smoking or non-smoking at the management’s whim since it was heavily scented with deodorizer in an attempt to cover up the stale smoke smell.

The continental breakfast was adequate but would have been much better if the scrambled eggs and bacon weren’t undercooked. Instant coffee was dispensed from a machine which tasted horrible. The tablecloths in the breakfast area were dirty and full of crumbs from previous guests.

The elevator broke the last morning of our stay so we had to carry our own luggage down 4 flights of stairs. The maid walked in on me in the bathroom at 9:30am although checkout was not until 12:00pm. When I complained to the management at the desk, there was no apology, just a blank stare. They didn’t care since we were leaving.

Contrary to the name, this is NO Palace! There are many hotels in Rome – I would look elsewhere.

Nice clean hotel in terrific location. The room was small but more than adequate, and the bathroom was terrific. A good warm breakfast and helpful staff.

Spent just one night here in Sep 09. Brilliant location. Just round from Via Veneto. Lovely view from street but dont get stuck with back rooms. We were given 201 and it was dark and dingy looking on to shaft. The window didnt shut so we withough any hassle got moved to 502. Lovely views over Via Ludovisi. Room clean and fine. A bit shabby chique to be honest. Our door wouldnt open as you had to pull and then push it. We joked it was like Fawlty towers but the staff were really helpful and I wouldnt hesitate staying there again as long as it was on the street. Totally agree about comments about thin walls and the breakfast though

This is a long overdue review.
I was there in september 08, spent a first night on my own for business (the hotel was very close to my conference center) and then my gfriend joined me. We had 3 lovely nights, as the hotel is very well located, the room and bathroom were much bigger than you can usually find nowadays, it was very clean and felt very cozy at the same time. The owner/manager with his family are very attentive and kind. Moreover, unlike many other people who convert their house in a hotel and suddenly become hotel manager, the guy had already many years of international experience in the hospitality sector.
The "hotel" is a floor of an ancient building, so access with luggage is not that easy: door is tiny, there are steps, and the elevator is tiny and old.
But i would definitely recommend it

Albeit thin walls and horrible breakfasts, the hotel is walkable distance to everywhere in Rome. The concierge was friendly and recomended lots of good places.
