“Great location!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

We stayed here last week. Great location very close to train station, bus routes, etc. Spacious rooms. Very clean. We didn't purchase the breakfast for 6,5 euros because it didn't offer very much variety for the price. The wifi is terrible in the room.

Stayed with several mates at B&B Hotel Roma which is on the outskirts of town but on a tram track direct to town. Had a twin room that was very comfortable with good air conditioning, just remember the air con only works if the window is shut. Bathroom and shower again ideal. You could walk to the centre in 30 mins. Buffet is continental breakfast style an extra payment of 8 euro (?), wasn't bad and saved going out looking for breakfast. Would stay again and would recommend to others. reception staff all spoke English and all very helpful.

Last week was my 6th time in Rome and first time in B&B Hotel Roma Trastevere and I was not at all satisfied by it.

First, I did not received the room I booked for, the one showed in my reserve in Internet.

Second, the beds only had bed sheets they did not even have quilt or any cover, as it is shown in the pictures in Internet. This was not comfortable at all.

Third, I do not think there is a fare relation quality-price. I think it is possible to find better hotels for the same price in Trastevere itself.

Conclusion, I felt tricked and cheated with what I paid and with what I received. To be honest I will never recommend this B&B Hotel Roma Trastevere.

Room Tip: To chose another hotel. Escojer otro hotel.

We were here for three nights and spent most of the day outside the hotel (as most tourists do). The hotel was perfect! Clean, comfortable, very easy access to transportation (tram, bus, train) and the staff are very kind, friendly and polite. We definitely recommend it!

3 1/2 is a more accurate rating. This Rome hotel is a bargain. It’s a bit removed from the action but there is a train stop right outside the front door. The room was sparsely appointed, but it was clean, very quiet, and rather large. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone with great coffee. Italy has the best coffee in Europe; even the coffee in vending machines is tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are on a budget or simply want a quiet place to stay, it's worth a try.

Room Tip: Rooms on the courtyard are very quiet. There is a bank with an ATM, left out of the lobby half a blo...

Plus factors>>
Quiet functional room (but see below re rooms at front).
Reasonable location (much nearer Trastevere Station than the cafes and river which are about 15 minutes walk away).
Minus factors>>
Useless internet. Totally unusable in the evening. At 7:10am still showing a rating of F- and worse than 96% of Italian connections on Speedtest.net. Receptionist told me they have a lot of young people in the hotel who are online and so it slows everyone. This is a new property which advertises "Free Wifi for entertainment and work". I defy anyone to work on this connection - utterly useless and frankly misleading to say they have wifi at all.
Also advertise Sky TV free but the only English language channel is the BBC News.
Rooms are sterile and the whole atmosphere is like student accommodation.
My room looks out on an interior courtyard which I can see by opening the window because they are all frosted glass.
The front of the hotel is covered in scaffolding. Not sure what for and how the work may affect those in rooms looking out over the street.
Entrance is a small security door with a tiny reception area, often crowded with people and backpacks.
Breakfast is charged at EU7 but is a poor self-serve selection in a canteen below street level (they will try to sell you this option before you see the environment)
The access to the room is via two single (often occupied) lifts and a rabbit warren of corridors.
The shower is a rainhead but with a curtain that does not reach the shower pan and so water can get everywhere in the area.
Thin mattress slat bed manages to combine the worst of padding and firmness.
One thin foam pillow (though I did see some Canadians being given more on request).

Rome is an expensive city so you may be forced to stay here, but I for one will never return here. As part of a large chain of hotels advertised as 3 star low-cost, their offering in Rome is shameful.

Room Tip: Ask not to be on the street

We stayed here for 2 nights.
The hotel is at a good location - close to Trastevere Train Station
Apart from the location, the staff was good helped us with the checin and directions for visiting tourist places
The breakfast looks to be a bit expensive for what is offered(Breads, Juices, Croissants). But then most of the budget European hotels charge the same.
Nothing exceptional and special about the place. Can offer better service to the people with more warm and friendly staff.
