My family of 4, including two grown children ages 20 and 18, spent many days at Hotel Aberdeen in June, 2009. The location is very convenient to the train station, sites, and subway to get to other sites. We had two adjoining rooms and were pleased with the size, the air conditioning, and the cleanliness.

The service is first rate. All of the employees were very friendly and accommodating. They gave advice on restaurants, help with transportation or museum reservations and engaged in friendly conversation.

I will certainly return to Hotel Aberdeen.

I stayed at the Hotel Aberdeen in April 2008 and it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Before I even arrived, the hotel was more helpful then any of the other hotels I was thinking about staying. They provided pictures and measurements of the room, since I was considering staying in a single room. My flight from the US was delayed by several hours. When I arrived the car hired by the hotel was waiting for me. I was not charged additional money for the wait. I arrived at the hotel to a smiling face and helpful hotel clerk. Throughout my stay the staff was nice and always had a smile on, the rooms were cleaned by noon. They provided great suggestions on sites to see, places to visit and eat and lovely day trips. When I departed, they booked my shuttle and even helped me carry my luggage down. I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Aberdeen and/or suggest it to friends and family. As a matter of fact, I have already suggested to people I know that are traveling to Rome. I look forward to my next stay in Rome.

Stayed here earlier this month for four nights. Upon arrival was told that I would have to change rooms after the first of four nights. No problem -- I'm flexible. This is a very nice, extremely clean and convenient hotel. The staff is very accomodating and keep a fine hotel. A couple of recommendations: please request a room on an upper floor. While there is no elevator, it's worth it. Both of my rooms were on the ground floor, where late night street noise was incredible! There is a garage in the rear of the building where men congregate at night, talking loudly and starting up cars -- I couldn't figure what was going on out there! All of the racket ended at about 2:00 a.m.

Also, don't get too excited about the breakfast. It's served in a stuffy, windowless room far in the corner of the second floor. The menu never changes. So, if you're there for more than three days, you might want to make alternate breakfast plans - good luck.

Otherwise - location, friendly staff, extreme cleanliness are all pluses here. Not to mention the reasonable tarriffs.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Aberdeen September 14 through September 20, 2004. After a long journey from San Francisco, the owner was extremely friendly and spoke first in English then in Italian to show us to our room. All of the other staff were very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. They even offered us umbrellas when it was raining. I've been to many hotels and this hotel had probably one of the most friendly staff.

The room was very clean and the bathroom had a bidet, towel warmer and looked freshly remodeled. I love taking baths and the tub was great also. The shower also had a removable head. The shower was strong and there was plenty of hot water.

The buffet breakfast included cereal, yogurt, meats, croissants, bread, cheese, coffee, milk, OJ, and tea. This would hold us over the day so we only spent money on one meal a day. The hotel is in a great location by the train station so getting around is very easy. There is a great restaurant two blocks away called Il Barocco (45/48 Via Napoli) where we ate most nights and every dish was excellent. Another authentic Italian restaurant about 5 blocks away is Colline Emiliane (22 Via degli Avignonesi) I would highly recommend this hotel for it's price (we paid 125 Euros a night), for it's very friendly staff and because it is very clean.
