My wife and I stayed one night at Hotel Aberdeen and were pleasantly surpised with the hotel. The location was great, it was a short walk to the Termini station and within walking distances of the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The subway station (Republic) was just around the corner and this made it easy to travel to Vatican city and other places in Rome. The staff was helpful and gave us directions and recommendations for food. The breakfast is minimal, but it was just enough to get us going for the day. The room we had was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on the lobby floor and didn't have any issues with noise.

Very clean and welcoming staff. Breakfast was wonderful and provided plenty of energy for all of our walking.

I needed a hotel for one night in Rome, before going to Perugia by train. I chose an hotel near the station. I was not expecting such a nice hotel.

The only reason I gave 4 stars for the room is that it was rather small. It did not bother me, but might some people. I could not find the elevator to my room, but it was not a problem, my bag was carried up and down the stairs without me having to ask. The hotel is very nicely decorated - lots of marble.

Breakfast was good. The staff very friendly (spoke good English) and helpful.

The hotel was in a very good location for seeing the sites. I highly recomend it.

I stayed at the Aberdeen Hotel for a total of 5 days. I found the hotel through the recommendation from Rick Steve's guides. My first impression as I went in was the cleanliness of the place, spotless! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the small double French style rooms but it was just perfect for the two of us. The bed matress was not that comfortable but after a long day of sightseeing you really don't care. The bathroom was small but so clean that nothing else matters. The breakfast, included with the price, was a typical European breakfast but also included ham and cheese where you can make a mini sandwich also it had fruits, croissants, cereals, yogurts and the attendant will make you expresso at your request, excellent coffee! If we go back to Rome we will stay here gain.
