“Great Hotel But Needs A Few Tweaks.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

This hotel is lovely, Room was kept to a high standard of cleanliness, bed comfortable. Had a safe which is always a bonus. Breakfast was good but would be happier if they supplied a toaster and maybe eggs.I was on my own in a room andn they did try to charge me double on the personal tax which had to be poibted out. The man on desk at check out was rather bossy, my son in law had left key in room, man rang maid who could not find it and he seemed overly forceful as if we could magic the key out of thin air. My son in law went back and as he did out came the man once more repeating room number in parrot fashion and in a bossy way, he was terribly impatient. Key was found and no more authorative tones. It was ideally situated for Termini and aside from the employee this hotel would have been rated higher if not for his attitude, a better temprament is needed.

Great staff, clean hotel, very small rooms, Breakfest (not the greatest but still) and the hotel has a great location for waking to almost everything.
OHHH! And the beds a pretty hard.
Otherwise nothing!

My wife and I have stayed at the Contilia on several occasions and have it to be an outstanding value and in a perfect location. It is only 2 blocks from the main train station and all bus transportation. It is clean and comfortable and provides an excellent continental breakfast. The staff is very cordial and extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable and free wifi is available.

Great hotel, situated near the Termini rail station, good for getting around Rome on the metro/bus/train. We had a quadruple room which was a good size, and very clean. Continental breakfast with good coffee.. Hotel staff were very friendly. Its a good value hotel and will recommend to family, friends.

Nice Hotel, with good location. Good value for the price. I rated sleep quality only 3 stars, because the air conditioner was too loud and I did not like the sheets (the sheets were not wrepped in each other, instead they were set on top of each other).

The hotel is average. Staff are not intrusive. Near the railway station Termini Breakfast edible. The rooms are small. Noisy in the evenings. There is a Russian-speaking staff. Near the station many marginalized individuals. Back to the hotel at night scared.

I stayed just 4 nights here end of Nov. beginning of Dec. 2012. The apartments were clean, but the towels were thin and small. some double beds are just two single beds put together... so beware of the crack! The best part of all though was the breakfast! The food was very fresh and the cappuccinos were hot and delicious. The staff was friendly and obliging as well. Great deal, and it's a refreshing little walk from the metro (about 7min). Restaurants line the streets with menus for tourists and hockers roam with umbrellas. You can arrange to get a taxi from Contilia to the airport but if you have smaller bags a train ticket to Flumicino Airport is much cheaper.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the street are pretty but a more cultural experience is granted by a room open...
