if you want to experience the way service used to be stay here. the family that runs it will do almost anything to help you and make your stay a good one. The location is great, the rooms clean and the rooftop terrace a good way to start the day.

there is a grocery store about 3 minutes walk away which can be improtant too.

The nephew lived in the states for awhile and if he has time will enjoy visiting with you about his experience.

it is where our family will stay when not in Oklahoma and in Rome.

Hotel is in a great location with good staff and nice rooms. Tiziano, Andrea, and others went out of their way in helping to arrange our Vatican tickets, a private tour guide, a ride from the airport, etc. We had a great experience in Rome, much do to the assistance we were given along the way!

Our stay in Hotel Palamento was fantastic! Our family had such a great time in Rome, made possible mostly b/c of the wonderful folks at Parlamento. We experienced airport luggage issues, and all of the concierge were great to enable us to get it back as quickly as possible. Tiziano, Roberto, Andrea, and Allesandra were top notch and first class all the way. We can't thank them enough. Rest assured, we will reserve Parlamento on our next trip to Rome. We want to thank the remaining staff, as well as the hotel owner for their extra kindness and consideration also. All the best,
The D'Amico family

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and I have to say the only thing it has going for it is the location. The hotel itself is shabby, needs a total gutting and rehab. A few things: Shower completely lost power while hair was lathered with soap, finally got it to dribble a bit. It must have been shower rush hour which should not happen. The hair dryer is useless. Room is not very clean, beds are worn to a fray. Pillows are like flat rocks. Paint is chipped and dirty. Wallpaper is torn. I would not go near the extra blanket in the closet. Girl at the front desk was rude, period.

My wife and I stayed here last month. We've traveled a fair bit in Europe and are accustomed to European accommodations. This one is sub-par - black mold in the shower, beds that were worn out and walls so thin you could hear anything and everything going on in the hotel (including the sexual exploits of the couple down the hall).

I'm pretty forgiving and don't expect a lot from the employees of my hotels, but one thing I do not tolerate is rudeness. The person occupying this position until 7pm (19:00) Sunday May 3rd (female, dark skin, late 20's) was one of the worst wretches I've encountered on my visits to Europe. Wasn't occupying her post at the front desk, causing 4 couples to have to wait 20 minutes outside to get in.

She rudely replied to a simple question I had about the hotel and then had the audacity to mock my attempt to communicate with her in French (after her poor English skills couldn't get the job done). Despite being nearly fluent in the language, my choice of words must not have communicated 100% clearly my question - so mocking my attempt is clearly the right thing to do in a client service position?

There's plenty more I could share about this place - but do you really need to hear it?
The hotel Pantheon has a much better location, is roughly the same cost and looks a lot nicer.

Management response from Plinio Chini, owner-manager
(Management representative)
May 25, 2009
Dear Sir
My name is Plinio chini, the owner and manager of this hotel

Sorry i don’t know your name, at least the room number you slept because i have checked all the 23 rooms of my hotel and there was no trace of black mold.

I’m very surprise about the complains you’ve made regarding the employee that was on duty that day ( sunday May 3rd) because most of the clients report her kindness ( as can be read on other Tripadvisor reviews ). I’m sorry she wasn’t able to satisfy you but I have talked to her.
FOR US CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION COMES FIRST

I’m also very disappointed of your suggestion of another hotel because that is not politically correct
Altough you weren’t satisfied with us there was no need to mention another name

I do invite all our guests to express any kind of discomfort during their stay in our hotel to give us a possibility to find a solution

Plinio Chini
