“Clean but loud”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

The rooms are definitely not soundproofed. I just spent four nights there at the end of a France/Italy trip with my husband. Every morning we were woken up by people in the hallways and doors slamming. The staff is really nice, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the showers were the biggest of any place we stayed in Europe. The hotel is walking distance to a lot of sights, quick walk from the train station, less than 30 minute walk to the Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Colloseum, etc. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The only time we took any sort of transit was a bus to the Vatican, and a taxi to the airport (too early for the airport buses). I would recommend this hotel unless you need total quiet to sleep.

When in Rome, all you need is a quiet and comfortable place to sleep. This is what this hotel can offer you. The only downside to it is the minimal bathroom facilities as one is barely able to fit in properly. With regards to the breakfast, there was a very nice spread of cereal, yogurt, juice, fresh fruit and cold cuts with freshly baked bread for an extra 5 Euro (you would expect it to be included in the 120 Euro per night rate). Very friendly and accommodating staff. There were bathroom amenities available as well as fresh towels for everyone.

Room Tip: I was in a first floor room with window to the main street, yet I was positively surprised as once y...

The hotel was completely unwilling to shift our reservation one day due to inclement weather. They held so tightly to their 3 day cancellation policy that they lost my business altogether. My intention was to shift our reservation and still give them our business, but because they refused to bend their policy, I cancelled my entire reservation. Let me explain...I decided to pay one nights stay (as a late cancellation fee) instead of accepting their demand that I pay for the original first day in addition to whatever days I actually stayed. I refused their offer. Its unfortunate because there are so many good reviews I was looking forward to our stay.

Great location; near Termini train station and bus transfer center and Metro stations.
Nice restaurant options in the neighborhood.
One block to supermercato and a daily outdoor market.
Clean, modern rooms.
Staff is friendly and very helpful.

In my four nights in a shared bath room, there were some clueless guests who kept leaving the bathroom door closed after they were done. Not the hotels fault, but annoying none he less.

Room Tip: If you are sharing a bath, ask how many rooms/people you are sharing with.

We were 2 friends and we have passed 5 days in a mixed dormitory with externe bathroom. The bedroom and the bathroom were nice and the bedroom was cleaned regularly. The personal was friendly. But the street was very loudy and we had a bad litery! In conclusion, contrasted opinion in general.

NB: the hostel is near the city center and this is very practice to discover Rome (with the metro or buses)

One of the better hostels we stayed at on our recent trip to Europe.

Rooms were clean and modern. Air conditioning was available for a fee (I think €5). Very near the metro and there were a couple markets nearby. Inside the hotel seemed safe and secure, although there was no place to lock up personal belongings in the room. Happened to be paired with some very quiet young travelers, so no complaints about noise in our 4-bed room. Man at the front desk (perhaps Papa Germano?) was very friendly.

Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.
