I booked this hotel through Venere.com, and been to Rome between 24th - 29th May 2007. Our Italy trip started from Milan first (for 2 days), and Rome was our last stop. We selected this b&b because of the comments in this site. Overall it was a great experience.

We flied with Ryanair and our flight was delayed, by the time we arrived at the Rome airport it was already 12am, and the owner of this b&b contacted us asking whether we needed a taxi back to b&b or not, and offer us a reasonable price for the taxi fare.

We were given breakfast vouchers for 4 days (sunday no breakfast), which was in a cafe shop (walking distance - 5 mins from the b&b). The b&b was actually an apartment with 3 rooms + 1 office room + 1 toilet. The lift was a bit old fashion. Water, coffee machine, and fridge were provided in the shared area. The toilet (with shower) was clean, bright, modern and big. Inside the room, there's a shared balcony, TV, big fan, WIFI internet, and wardrobe. The nearest metro station (Re di Roma) is just 5-8 mins walk. There are many shops around the area.

PS: Don't expect to have big breakfast in McDonald's, they just provide bread and coffee in the morning.

  • Liked — Great location, friendly services, including nice breakfast, reasonable price, nice room
  • Disliked — the outlook of this apartment building, the old lift, have to share toilet

This was my third time to Rome, and by far the best accomodations I have stayed in while in the Eternal city.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B from March 13th through the 16th. The B&B is located in central Rome, but away from the main touristy areas. Though the B&B is located off the beaten path, it is also located right on the Metro line. The Metro conveniently connects you to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Coliseum etc. for only 1 euro per ride. A bargain!

The rooms in this B&B are located on the top floor and have wonderful views of Rome. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The rooms do share a bathroom, but this was not a problem. The bathroom is very modern and well done.

At check-in, you receive coupons for daily breakfast (rolls, juice, coffee) at a bar that is conveniently located to the Metro stop.

Overall you can't beat the price (70 euros a night!), accomodations, and friendliness of this B&B. Highly recommended!

Having just returned from a 5 day stay in Rome, staying in the I TETTI DI ROMA B+B, we really liked the appartment with great views of the outskirts of rome, it was clean modern and very well decorated. The appartment is easy to reach from ciampino airport (a shuttle bus to ANAGNINA underground station, then the metro to RE DI ROMA.
I TETTI DI ROMA is just a five minute walk away, the appartment is situated on the eighth floor with a lift to the top. The owner Gianpaolo is very helpful and freindly.
Vouchers are given for breakfast, which is just around the corner, and serves fresh coffee, orange juice and coissants. Overall i would thoughrly recommend this B+B to anyone who wants to experience Rome on a budget.

I couldn't fault this hotel at all. My stay happened to co-incide with the Pope's funeral. This caused numerous disruption (including my flight being diverted), however the hotel more than made up for any problems. The owner, Gianpaolo, was so helpful, the B & B immaculate, and the location perfect. Its right outside the Metro, so only a 5 minute journey into the centre if you don't fancy a 20 minute walk. Shared bathroom with one other person, which was fine. Highly recommended accomodation at a great price too.

I Tetti Di Roma provides a comfortable room and a clean, well appointed shared bath (shared with one other double room). While not in the center of Rome, it is convenient to most sites via the Metro and the neighborhood has restaurants, bars, Gelati, and a grocery store. Our stay there was quite comfortable.

It is fairly convenient to the airport by train. We arrived at night with a couple of big pieces of luggage. We didn't see any Taxi's readily available at the train station. The walk to the bed and breakfast wasn't long, but at night it seemed like the neigborhood was a bit dicey (graffitti, bus terminal). Actually the neighborhood is a quite safe residential neighborhood as we could see by day and once we knew our way around. Still, I would try to arrive during daylight hours if you are walking from the train station.

The apartment is up on the 8th floor, there is one small elevator which worked well and didn't present any delays. Views from our room overlooked Rome to the dome of Saint Peters.

Gianpaolo gave us an orientation to Rome and a suggested walking tour. The walking tour is a lot of walking so we modified to use the metro much more (took the metro to the Collisium skipping some of the churches). There is a nice open air market near San Giovanni in Laterano (one metro stop or a bit of walk away).

I'll post more about our trip and links to our other hotel reviews on my blog planetralph.blogspot.com.
