“Nice Irish bar, gigs on Wednesday night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

This pub is a nice Irish bar; nothing exceptional, but a nice lace where to have a beer and pass some time.

On wed night there are gigs, so if you dare bring your instrument and join the crowd - or just enjoy the music (quite obviously, mainly Irish folk)

““A NICE SIDE STREET PUB””
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

The Fiddlers Elbow is situated on Via Dell Olmata, close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The nearest metro station is Cavour and is within walking distance of Termini and Vittorio.

We went to the Fiddlers Elbow to watch the The All Ireland Football Final, It doesn’t look much from the outside but when you enter it is a reasonably good sized pub.

There was a soccer match on the TV at the front and we headed out to the back bar and they had the G.A.A match on in there. The staff was friendly and the drink and prices were also good. We stayed on after the match to have another drink and to relax after another day of sight seeing and before out trek back to our hotel.

Overall I would visit this pub again when in Rome, Good friendly staff and good atmosphere.

“Can't beat a good pub when on your holidays!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

You have been on your feet all day, back to the hotel to change then out for dinner. After dinner all you want is a few drinks in the pub to finish your night off then this is the place for you. Good old looking pub, relaxed atmosphere beer and ciders and a proper Irish fellow behind the bar result!

“Authentic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Very nice old-style Irish bar. Not like those flashy type of places you get in North America. If you go I advise you to visit in the evening - this place only gets busy after 9pm. Sit on the tables in front of the main bar and observe the coming and going of both tourists and locals. The owner, a gentleman called Geeno was very helpful and told us the history of the pub. Would definitely recommend this cosy Irish pub!
