“Central to everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the Hotel Alpi 26th February for 4 nights.
Lovely clean hotel with air conditioning, hair dryer but no kettle in the rooms. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was wonderful ... I can recommend the chocolate croissants !! Free wifi in all areas.
Central to all places of interest and the bus tours (hop on hop off) are a must! Termini 5 minutes away with buses, metro and taxis.

While our stay, the room was not cleaned any day as it should have been. As there was wooden floor, sometimes it got wet and it was not mopped a single day, so the stains started to get bigger and after 6 days was pretty uncomfortable. Also, you don't want to see the WC seat with rest of dry urine from other people. It is true that there is jacuzzi in the bathroom but is must be connected to some sort of disgusting pipe as the air smell like the worst sewer you can imagine. Also, the last morning the jacuzzi was on for no particular reason for about 2 hours and we could not put if off, just making a horrible sound. The room is quiet noisy as you can hear the traffic and also if you had very bad luck, as we had, the neighbor snoring, which was a particular awful night. The breakfast is inclusive if you pay for this option but they charge you 7.80 euros for room service. But this is a poor-medium breakfast, only coffee and awful pastry. Anything like yoghourt or something healthy, must be paid separately, starting prices of a yoghourt are 4 euros. Room service during the day with pasta dishes of 15/18 euros, but the truth is that there is not even a kitchen... And the breakfast never came on time, even one day they forgot about us and if arrived an hour later with some slices of toast so hard that were impossible to eat, but they told us the bread rolls were finished... And lastly, the day we checked out, they had charged us 29 euros for 2 cappuccinos that we had ordered to our room. Of course it was wrong but the receptionist was unable to amend the mistake so he had to call to the owner of the hotel and we had to wait 30 minutes with our flight departing in 3 hours... The only nice guy is the night porter!!!

Room Tip: We had terrace, and the traffic noise was really high. But we could also hear the neighbor snoring...

The hotel is in a really good place, near the Termini station. If you're arriving by plane, you just have a 5 minute walk towards the hotel. There are various italian restaurants and monuments around the hotel, and the city centre is close.

The rooms are great and they are very clean. What really made my day was the extra pillows on the bed (around 10)! The room also had a jacuzzi, which is always a plus.

The only complaint i had was that there was a weird sewer like smell coming from the bathroom, but my friends that stayed in the same hotel didn't have that problem. So it might be that it was only our room (245).

All in all, a very good hotel, worth the money!

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. lovely room, very clean and good size. we had breakfast included which had a nice selection. hotel staff was excellent. especially one (don't know his name unfortunately) who recommended a lovely restaurant, (Gustos) best meal in Rome. Hotel was in a great location, 5 walk to Termini station which gave us access to the metro and the cheap bus shuttle service to and from airport. definitely recommend Hotel Alpi.

Clean and friendly hotel, good localization. Very frendly stuff. Rooms are good and nice. Good location too. We used a lot walking to all monuments, it is very conenient. However the hotel is worthy to be recommended.

Room Tip: Room 112, is close to entrance, looking on street, but not to noise.

We booked the hotel from agoda and checked in with no problem. A bit disappointed at first when we got into the room, because we had to change the elevator on 3rd floor and it was a tiny elevator (only fit 2 people). Luckily, the hotel concierge asked about our room and we asked if we could switch to other room that doesn't require to change elevator. The next morning we changed the room and problem solved! Very close to Termini, no problem in dragging our luggages. Only 10 minutes walk. One more thing, try their coffee on breakfast, it was so good!!

Clean and friendly hotel, with good localization. Nice stuff. Rooms not too big, but nice. Easy transport to the main places in Rome and airport. Terminand neighberhoodi nowadays isn't pleasant at night. However the hotel is worthy to be recommended.
